Eden

After Shedeur explained everything there wasn't really anything I could do. I tried to talk to Austin, but he just cussed me out, and left. He felt betrayed and hurt, so I was letting him have it this time. I'd knew he'd tell my mom and sister next, so I tried to go and talk to my mother, but we just ended up arguing when she tried to compare me to my father. The only similarity I share with my father's situation is that Shedeur is younger than me. Lauryn was being rather understanding, and I finally came clean to Dayna and Harlem, so I wasn't completely without a support system.

I sighed as I entered my office, wanting to get some quizzes graded. I had only been in here about 15 minutes before a student entered.

"Hey what can I do for you?" I said politely, he looked around a bit before leaning forward "Can I fuck my way to A too?" he whispered, my smile dropping instantly.

"Get out." I said plainly, he smacked his teeth before grumbling and exiting my office. I knew leaving entirely was my best bet, so I started to gather my things before there was a knock at the door. I looked up seeing the dean standing there, so I already knew what was coming.

"I'm sure you know why I'm here—" he started, "An investigation won't be necessary. I resign, effective immediately. If you could please leave me to clean my office out?" I said quickly and he simply nodded, leaving me be.

This was embarrassing. I could feel all the eyes on me as I carried my bag and box of belongings to my car. I knew Shedeur was on campus today as well, and I just hoped things weren't as bad on his end.

Shedeur

I laughed at a story Drew was telling me as we exited the classroom building. I noticed Jay, one of my teammates, standing off to the side looking upset.

"Yo Jay, you good?" I called out, walking over towards him, caught off guard when he pushed me back.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Drew said stepping over to stand next to me, "What's your problem?" I asked, not really wanting to fight him, especially not on campus.

"It's people like me on the team struggling to make it, can't play because the school shit hard, and you out here fucking your way through classes, looking like a star every game!" he yelled.

"Aye bruh, who I'm with really aint got nothing to do with how my grades was looking, I still was doing my work like everybody else." I knew nobody would believe that, but it was the truth.

"Man whatever bruh, fuck you and that hoe—" he started before I popped him in the mouth. "Watch your mouth bruh." I said seriously.

"Come on Shedeur let's get out of here." Drew said. I looked around noticing a lot of eyes were me. I sighed as we started to walk. A piece of me wanted to fight Shilo and Austin both, this was all their fault, but I knew that wouldn't change anything.

Eden wasn't answering my texts and her office was empty, so I immediately headed to her house. When I entered I saw a girl, I'm assuming one of her friends, sitting next to her and rubbing her back.

"It's gone be okay Eden." The girl said looking up and noticing me, "Damn, I would've did the same shit if I was you." Her comment made Eden sit up and notice I was there; it was obvious she'd been crying.

"Shedeur this is Harlem, Harlem this Shedeur." She introduced us and I waved, "Nice to meet you."

"Imma head out and give y'all some space, call me later Eden." Harlem said getting up to leave. I went and took her spot sitting next to Eden.

"What happened baby?" I questioned and she sighed before giving me a summarized version of what led her here.

"I'm just so embarrassed...this feels like a nightmare." She explained. "We gone get through this, together. I promise." I said grabbing her hand reassuringly, and she looked at me with a small smile.

"Come on let's go get you cleaned up." I stood up, pulling her up with me, and walking with her to her bathroom.

With the hard part of our relationship out the way, I was optimistic about what the future held for us.
