As we get to the hotel near where the festival will be held, I get out and stretch before grabbing my bag, locking my car, and going to check in since I'm the only one that can for this event. "Hi, I'm suppose to be checking in for me and my dad, my name is Jolene Forester." I stand at the desk with my bag by my feet and all the other girls are looking at me funny for some reason. I look at the red haired receptionist as she types on her computer, she looks about 15 so she wouldn't have been a part of the festival, making it pointless to ask her what to expect. She makes a dissatisfied noise and starts talking in a normal voice. "So you are the girl with two people having the same car as you." I nod slowly and smile embarrassed. She snorts. "I don't see why anyone would want you, let alone two guys."
"Just because they have the same car doesn't mean they want me."
"Well that's a good thing, with your stupid clothes, bad accent, bad hair, and a duffle bag I can see why they don't. Do you even own any dresses?" I laugh and run my hand through my hair to keep my calm. "Just get me checked in, that's all you're suppose to do anyways."
"I have lots of authority here, don't mess with me."
"Well, I don't give a crap. I'm here for the festival then I'm leaving, that's all."
"Wow, you are just full of class Jo." I turn around and frown at Colton who is standing there with my dad, making me wonder how much he heard. I look around and almost start laughing at the looks the girls are giving him. "You realize you can't be here right?"
"I'm here on official military business, Don't flatter yourself." I can't keep in my laughter. "That might be but I'm not the one making the other girls drool." I say once he is standing in front of me with my dad. He looks around and clears his throat to hide his laughter but my dad starts laughing. I turn around, "Can I have my room keys yet?" I ask the shocked girl. She nods and hands them to me. "Room 318."
"Thanks a bunch." I say as I look to grab my bag which has already been picked up by my dad. I take it from him and shake my head. As I get into the elevator with my dad and Colton, I hand my dad his key and try to not laugh as I glance at Colton, but our eyes meet and we both burst out laughing, soon being joined by dad. We are still laughing a little as we get to the third floor but stop once we see the king is right outside me and my dad's door. "You aren't suppose to be here." The king hides his shock at seeing Colton. "I'm here to meet with Commander Forester, not his daughter."
"That doesn't matter Colton, You should leave."
"Or I can leave. Then he isn't technically around me and he can talk to my dad right?" I say as Colton looks ready to argue. "I just need to put my bag inside then I can leave for a few hours."
"No, Jolene, You can't. You aren't suppose to leave this hotel and the boys can go anywhere but not here."
"What!?!"
"Don't fight with me today Jolene. You can share your opinion with my wife when she comes to checks on you later tonight."
"Why is she coming to check on me?"
"I have no clue, you'll have to ask her. Come on Colton, if you need to speak with Dustin you can do so, just not in this hotel." He walks away with his hand on Colton's shoulder leading him away. I grab my bag and go put it in the room with my name on the door inside the hotel room. This hotel is pretty standard. The door opens to the living room with a couch, coffee table, two matching chairs, and a flat screen TV. Behind the living room is the kitchen with a stove, microwave, and fridge. Off to the sides of the living room is our two bedrooms with bathrooms connected to each of them, each bedroom has a plaque outside the door made out of a cheap golden plastic that they can make in seconds for only a few dollars that has our names on it. I lay on my bed and sigh. This is going to be a very long six days.
