I shake off the memories and go to make dinner for me and my dad wordlessly. I make mac and cheese, corn, and raspberries. I put it on the table and knock on my dad's door. "It's time for dinner." He walks out and sits down, knowing better then to start a conversation right now. That was the first time I got into a fight that bad. Two of the girls had serious brain damage, the one I hit in the throat and the one whose face I smashed against the concrete table. They said it wasn't my fault, the one girl's lungs were so bad from smoking  and me defending myself  made it so not enough oxygen could get to her brain. The girl I hit against the table had a brain tumor, and I had burst it. I'm not going back there. That was the first fight I had been to in there, but certainly not the last. People tended to leave me alone after that. But that next week was when I met Sam, and Brittany had turned up in River Run. I finish eating and clean the dishes. "Did he say how long I'm on watch for?"

"No, but he can't keep this over your head forever, he isn't rude like that."

"Oh you mean rude like threatening to send me back there?!? He did that so he can certainly do whatever he wants and hold this over my head forever!" After that we both go to our rooms and I fall into a nightmare-ish  sleep.

I wake up at six as usual but today I get showered and dressed in jeans and tank tops, putting on my tennis shoes and leather jacket and left. As I walk down the street in the early morning sun, I get this funny feeling I'm being followed. I try to shake it off and keep walking to the palace so I can work on Ashley's car. I get let into the gate by some girl in her military uniform and go into the garage. I turn on some music on my phone and pop the hood. After a few hours, a girl with blonde hair and familiar green eyes walks in. "Hey! I heard someone was working on mom's car and had to come and see you! I haven't talked to you since you got your car! I can't believe you got two. I really can't believe one of them is Sam. I mean I know the whole cliché about guy and girl best friends but seriously! And that other guy works with your dad right? I mean how odd is that? One guy is your best friend and the other works with your dad? Small world I guess. "

"Brittany! Breathing is a good thing." I laugh and tell her as she goes on and on. "I know. I'm sorry. Okay, your turn. Which do you like more?"

"I don't know. I thought I knew but now I'm not sure I want either."

"WHAT?!?! Are you sure? You know the festival is in like four days right? And you can't go back on your choice! I mean I'm so glad I have one more year. I don't know if I could stand that pressure."

"You will stand it, you have to. I also happen to know that you survived River Run with me, so I know you can survive almost anything."

"Almost? I can handle anything and what made you think of River Run? You never talk about that place. Not since we left."

"I know, it's just that with my choice; Sam knows which isn't a bad thing but he knows one of the darkest parts of my life but Colton doesn't know and it wouldn't be fair not to tell him but he works with my dad and my dad doesn't even know what happened there so he might slip and tell my dad something."

"Well, then both of them will have to know and it shouldn't affect your choice or even be in your mind right now." I sigh and keep working on the car so I don't slip and tell her what her dad did. She would be even more pissed then I am. "Yeah I suppose, and I have to choose one of them. Even if I don't want to." After a few more hours of messing with car to make sure it's perfect for Ashley and talking with Brittany, I go back to the hotel. I pass the red haired secretary and can barely look at her. I handle all the looks from the oil and grease on my clothes and go to my room.
