I wake with a start as someone knocks on my door. I must've fell asleep after I hung my clothes up. I get up and open my door to see the queen there. "Hi Ashley, what can I do for you?"

"I was just checking up on you sweetheart."

"Oh," I step back so she can come in, "Why?" She walks up to my closet and looks at my clothes: three pairs of jeans, four tanks tops, five dresses, and Pajama pants. "I wanted to make sure you were okay, everyone else has their mom with them while their dad's are left at home."

"Oh that makes sense now. Everyone was looking at me funny, now I understand why." She smiles gently and sits on my bed. "I heard you might have something you want to talk to me about...?"

"Yeah, why can't we leave the hotel? That's not fair!" I pout as I lay on the bed with my head in her lap like I usually do when we talk. "Well, we don't want the girls to meet another boy and then dump the one whose car they share. The boys can because it's not their choice really."

"They get a choice after the girls decide, they say they agree or not."

"I know that, but this is how it was when the king was part of the festival and he wants to keep it that way. In his day, the boys couldn't say no and on those days it gave the boys a chance to...play the field before the girls choose."

"Well how can the girls get to the know them if we are locked up in this hotel all week?"

"They are suppose to meet them and get to know them the night of the party."

"Well how am I suppose to choose? I haven't gotten a chance to know Colton and I haven't talked to Sam for awhile, and it wouldn't be fair to choose Sam just cause I know him better and it wouldn't be fair to choose Colton because I friend zone Sam." She brushes my hair with her fingers as she thinks for a moment. "I need a favor from you, my car is acting up and I don't trust anyone but you and Sam to fix it. So I need you and Sam to work on it so it runs good for the festival." I look at her and start laughing as I catch on to her very see through plan. "Hmm I'm not sure I can, I do have to stay in this hotel."

"Well I give you permission to leave the hotel to work on my car, Brett won't object since you would be keeping my car from breaking down and hurting me or leaving me stranded." I smile, "I have to ask my dad first." She nods in understanding, we get up and walk into the living room and I see a note on the coffee table. I have to go talk to Colton about security measures for the festival . Be back by dinner, we are having pizza and popcorn. -dad. "Well I guess I can't tonight. My dad left already."

"Hmm, let's go find him and ask."

"I'm not sure about that, he said to only find him in a meeting if it was super important." She grabs my hand and starts to lead us out of the hotel room, I quickly grab my key card from the table by the door and allow myself to be dragged along. "This is super important! I need you to fix my car!" I laugh as she pulls me outside to my car and I give her a weird look. "I wanted to ride in your car so I told my driver I'll call when I need him." She shrugs and gets in as I unlock the doors and slide in. I laugh at her childishness and wonder how the king is so uptight but she is completely opposite.
