I stand next to my car for a minute and wonder why Colton didn't get matched with Sam when they had the same car first, I wondered a year ago too though but I never asked. I laugh at the thought of them being together and soon shake my head to get any weird photos out of my mind. I see those men from before walk towards me. I catch a glimpse of someone watching me from the corner of my eye but don't look since they have friends with them. "So this is the infamous Jolene Forester. So nice to meet you." He bows mockingly and I lean against my car with my arms folded. "What do you want?"
"We just want to talk to you." I notice how they are all surrounding my car. "And you need seven other guys to talk to me?"
"Well you aren't exactly the friendliest solider under your father's command."
"And? There is a reason for that. It gets rid of any needless talking." I unlock the door to my car and hope they aren't looking for a fight. "Hey now Sweetheart. Where are you going?" I tense as the main guy touches my hip and I clench my jaw. "Home. Let go of me before something bad happens." He tightens his grip and moves closer to me. "And what if I don't?" I carefully set my keys on top of my car and turn around as I take a swing at the annoying soldier. It hits him on his nose and he falls on the ground. "I will kick your a$$." I grab my keys as he lays on the ground holding his broken nose. "Well, that was quite the show." I look over my shoulder to see who spoke. "Who are you?"
"My name is Jack. I heard from your father that we will be working together." I nod as the guy on the ground starts to get up. "Which one are you?"
"Which do you think I am?" I look at his hands and see he has long fingers but something tells me he is the pilot. I open my mouth to answer but the soldier just can't leave me alone. I move away from the knife he swings at me and push his face into the top of my car. His body falls onto the ground unconsious. I roll my eyes and grab my keys that fell to the ground. "Anyone else? I'm trying to have a conversation here." I snap at the rest of the group and they slowly start walking back to the building. The other two that were with him in the hallway move forward and drag him back to the building where my dad is standing in the doorway, looking at us with a mixture of anger and pride. I wave to him and he goes back inside. I look at the guy and see he has gray eyes and dirty blonde hair that most girls would swoon over. "I don't understand why there are idiots like that in the army."
"Because without idiots likes that, others would never rise beyond private." I shrug and agree with him. "Does that mean that you need idiots to be the best pilot?" He gives me a smile that Brittany would have had a heart attack over and laughs. "I can see why you were chosen to be on this team."
"You never answered my question."
"Yes. He needs the idiots in order to be the best." I look over at the man who spoke and see he is almost a carbon copy of Jack, but with blue eyes. "If I need them, so do you Chase." I lean against my car once more with my arms crossed. "I'm suppose to meet the two of you tomorrow. What gives?"
"We aren't big on orders." I give an emotionless laugh to Chase and stand up straight, letting my arms drop to my side. "Well that sucks for you. I will see you both tomorrow at six a.m. with no excuses, understood?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Good. You are both dismissed. Do not let my father hear you talking like that either. He will discharge you without a second thought." I turn and get into my car without another look at them. I take off on my way to the grocery store to get some orange juice and other items. I get out of the store and make my way home.
