She smiles and it turns my blood into ice. "This is how this game is going to work. I ask a question and you will answer it truthfully. If you don't, I blow this building up."
"How will you know if I answer truthfully or not?" I ask as I sit down and lean against the stairwell door. "I'm a good judge of character." I nod and motion with my hand for her to go on. "Oh good, you're ready to start. Did you really meet my sister in River Run?"
"Your sister, Denise? Yes, I met Denise in River Run." She nods and stands up a little more. "Why were you in River Run?"
"I killed three people." She looks intrigued and stands up more. "How?"
"I blew them up." I say quietly, knowing that others can probably hear me. "Oh, really? Why?"
"They wouldn't tell me what happened to my mom, so one of them blew up in a car bomb he shot at. The other two were kind of an accident." She leans against the railing. "How do you manage to blow up two people by accident?" She laughs as if this isn't a morbid topic. "I tipped over some gasoline and lit a match," She leans forward, interested, "and then I put out the match and walked to the roof. I forgot the first bomb's fire was still going and the gas caught on fire and blew up the whole bottom floor where they had storage for months of gasoline for their cars and boats." She looks at me like I've told the most hilarious story ever and shakes her head. "You would have fit in perfectly with my family. Why didn't you like Denise?"
"She tried to beat me up in the cafeteria at River Run when I didn't bow down to her rule. Then I found out she had a bomb fetish and I panicked because of what I did." I lean my head against the door. "Who did your mother truly love?" I freeze and she laughs. "I heard everything through the door. I'm curious on why you didn't tell your friends."
"Because my mom fell in love with the king and I think she had a kid with him before I was born." She frowns and start to twirl the wire around her finger. "But why didn't you tell your friends? You told them everything else."
"Because I think one of them is that child." I say quietly so even I can barely hear it. "What did you just say?" She leans forwards and I grab the wire from her hand and kick her shoulder. I stand up and try to open the door but she pushes it closed. I step away from her and she has that crazy look in her eye that Denise had that night. "Did you just say you think the child of your mother and the king is one of those three men in your room?" I frown and toss the wire over the railing. "Now why would I say a false thing like that?" She glares at me and lunges towards my stomach. I side step quickly but not fast enough. Her arm catches me and I feel the railing hit my back before we both are in a free fall. Our screams echo throughout the stairs. I try to reach and grab a railing to stop myself but I'm too far away. I hit something with a thud and as I fade out of consciousness I feel pain and then numbness throughout my entire body.
That's the end!!!!! Any Comments? Thoughts? I know I didn't answer everything but sometimes, that makes it more exciting. Thanks for reading.
I have decided to make a second book! I'm not quite sure what will happen in it, but I will start it. It will be called 'The Child of Cars'.
