I dashed at him quickly enough for him not to see it coming his way and along that, I bashed my metal rod at his head. The other at his side so I'd gotten two hits. Ari got her katana and made many swift slices, so quickly the naked eye couldn't see it. Alongside it, the fire on her blade made an explosion as it made contact with him after she sliced him. As she made this beautiful attack, the explosion took the shape of an elegant flower and she yelled: "Fire Style: Lotus Fireball!" And the explosion made him question who he was for a second.
"Fool!" He yelled back at us. After that, he looked to me and then ran towards me. Not forgetting my training, I slid underneath him, in between his legs and jumped back up behind him with enough power to kick his head and bash the top of his head with my metal rod saying: "Rage Style: Brain Bomb!" His head litterly blew apart and the rest of his body fell down. The small foam of his brain and the shards of his sticky skull all scattered my face. His blood looked like a bad painter had spilled red paint all over his work. Though something didn't seem as it should.
(Specters pov)
Akuma was beggining to heal himself up again, even though NextGen just blew his brains apart. With a manical laughter, he reintroduced himself to us.
"You five all act all so high and mighty, don't you fools?!" He chuckled before he broke into another fit of laughter. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA DARKNESS PREVAILS!!!!" He screeched so loudly that a ring shook my ears, his voice was deafening for a brief moment. So much so I stumbled to get up.
"F-fucking hell!" I mumbled.
Maki beside me held onto me and almost squirmed to keep herself up. I couldn't blame her in the slightest because she wasn't used to fighting... Saki was standing on her own, obviously resisting it with all she could.
NextGen and Ari held each other close too. Those two only being the equivalent to kids made my heart ache for them. Knowing how young NextGen was too made my blood boil. He didn't deserve this... Neither did any of us.
We're all orphans after all...
So we all regained our balance after a few moments... and we stood in front of the fool who threatened the world.
"If you're gonna tell us, that we're all just kids and we can't do shit!" I yelled at him first.
"Then think again!!!" The others added on. I didn't notice it before but all our aura were now fully active.
My darkness flowed through my surroundings, blackening anything in it's path. Maki's light shone like a patriotic bravado. She even had this sort of, yellow glowing samurai armour that formed on her. It looked more traditional unlike what Saki had on her and her eyes glowed yellow. She mastered light before I could even teach her much... that's way too impressive.
Saki had a purple wave of water stream faster and with such force from her fists to her elbows. Making her look like a monster where she stood. NextGen had a crimson red aura, the same colour of blood that glowed with an intense rage which would definitely scare anyone. Ari had something smililar, only it was a firey golden aura. As if her aura shone with a sense of royalty.
"No. Akuma... my darkness prevails" I then said. Trying to sound as terrifying as possible.
I heard something in my head.
I will only lend my power to thou, only if thou exceeds thy scale of power and will written within them. To break thy limit...
"What's that supposed to mean?" I then muttered.
Thou mind will expand fourth soon, young one
I couldn't feel the intense rage that boiled me like every other time I had used the power of the darkness... I felt.
Calm.
Eerily calm.
"Foolish children, that's all you are!" He yelled back at us before heading straight for me. Why me though?
Before he could get a hit on me, I moved to his side, ducking under; I punched him in the side which made him grunt in pain. NextGen then used both his metal escrima, put them together somehow and then he took an entirely different stance than before. How is that possible?
Before anyone else could land another hit on Akuma. He dashed back, faster than any of us could wish to be. In that moment... I felt some sort of surge of power rise in me. I felt a sudden urge to use all my power and show this monster who we are. I snatched my sword from my side but for some reason, I knew this wasn't my sword. It was like a normal blade. Though... completely consumed by darkness. What was it that made it so strange? I couldn't tell, but whatever the reason I knew this was different.
Like I unlocked something new.
Right after, I felt something grasp onto me, like it was latching on for its life like a creature in danger. It was crawling up my leg and it soon crept up onto my lower waist. I stumbled back in response and while I didn't know what it was, I tried to pull whatever it was squeezing my legs but when I looked down. I saw a set of dark samurai armour beggining to form all over my body. Soon enough, I heard the ruckus of my allies fighting Akuma. Battling with all their might left and all the power they had whilst I basically battled my own power like an idiot. The roars of battle were deafened by a loud breezing noise in my ears and I nearly lost control of my breathing as black strands of dark aura wrapped themselves around my chest and suffocated me like it was killing my lungs off. I couldn't even get it off me. No matter what I did, scratched the armour off me, pulled at the steel braces on my wrists which were all matte black and even forced my power to decrease. My vision blurred and everything I used to hear was gone. I gasped and wheezed for air until the last second and while on the ground... the darkness finally said to me:
Indeed Specter Kenchi, darkness does indeed prevail, young man.
I blacked out.
