I woke back up in a rubble with all my wounds suddenly sealed off. No broken bone, no tiresome feeling, no pain, no aches. It was strange, very strange because I hadn't known anyone who could pull something off this well apart from my mother. Then, when I got up, I saw Saki.
"Oh...it...it was you" I stammered. "I'm...sorry, I-I failed" I murmured miserably; in dispear as I looked at the decimated landscape. The buildings all having a burnt hue, under them was nothing but stone rubble and a bunch of other junk.
"It's okay, none of its your fault... when Kan saw you, he said he'd forgive you" She replied calmly. Oddly calm in fact. She seemed to accept the world being like this; our home. "W-why the hell are you always s-so damn cruel?!!"
"It could've been worse, we could've seen the planet go to shreds in any other way with his power; Akuma could've made everyone burn here and made them all have a painful death." She explained, which was true to some extent but seeing all this, gave me a horrid feeling of dispear. I felt so hollow, empty, taken apart.
"Kan Sensei already saw this coming didn't he?" I asked her. "No shit sherlock-" My older sister murmured. Which wasn't normal for her; I've never seen her curse before because she normally speaks so formally, but maybe even her tears dried up. Just like mine. It wasn't time to cry, at least that's what I thought... but when I got up and saw all the countless dead bodies reveal themselves from under the dirt, under the rubble.
It made me shudder, my eyes couldn't bear the sheer dread and the insane images. Eyes of people who would normally see, but all they see now is darkness in their empty void. The frozen faces, grey, lifeless skin, the ripped apart flesh, broken bones and skulls with missing parts. Blood that died up and muses growing out of their brains. EVEN THE CHILDREN these are all the people I failed to save. Its all my fault, all because I couldn't contain my-
"What did I say about blaming yourself Specter?" Saki suddenly said so calmly, but now her voice sounding like it's being ripped apart by sorrow or remorse.
"C-can we leave?"
"Why? Your wounds aren't-"
"No! Leave this damn planet!"
"And go where Specter?!" She suddenly snapped. "Where the hell do we go?! There is no other planet which can house us apart from Earth but it has nine billion residents so it could be too overpopulated, so where?"
That's when another voice could be heard. A familiar one.
"I know..." Crow announced firmly, making his presence known behind us. "What do you want?!! Let Maki go!" Yeah, I saw Maki beside him, though she didn't seem so bothered by him. More so she was eyeing the corpses on the ground with a lifeless look. The same one I saw when I had first met her which meant I was going to have to keep her company for a long time. Crow had his mask off too, but how did we know it was him? Well, I had memorised the way his cloak looks. Simple.
The man under the mask was rather old, he had a patchy beard, wrinkles all over his face, white, crisp hair that stood still with no movement. Probably from the cold environment now.
"I am not here to torment the girl, she's already seen enough. I am here instead to give you all a new place to go to." He told us. "And what exactly do you mean? Is this a trap?" I inquired firmly.
"No. I am here only to help once with you. I was being used against my own will. Akuma told me I couldn't let you flee... but I thought that I may as well sacrifice myself to give you youngsters a second chance" He continued. Then, he put a stone on the ground, the stone in question had a blue glow coming out from it within the middle of it. The stone then began to emit a strong, swirling aura and a roaring noise that almost deafened me.
So I shut my ears and closed my eyes shut. The others did the same too apart from Akuma... and then.
It stopped.
When I opened my eyes, I saw a blue, swirling endless tunnel with a light at the end.
"What's that?"
"A portal" He answered. "To a different dimension called Odonta, a great prosperous one which is led by a good king. The place hasn't seen the face of war since that man became their king so you may go here for the time being" This was the greatest offer I could ask from anyone. Was it really true though? A portal to a different dimension?
Dimensional travel was a Terran urban legend made up by the older generations but mabye they could've been right. "So the legend is true-" Saki dismissed.
"Indeed, I have travelled many places so I know what place is where."
So we all walked in. One thing only ran in my mind then and it was only then that I'd realised.
I have only began my journey into whatever it is sad that message began to run in my mind once more...
That was probably a call for war, some sort of help message or SOS message.
Whatever it was.
I was ready.

(Am I tripping or is that uneven? ^)
I was at the aboard the last evacuation ship to earth; I wondered where Specter, Maki and the others were. As far as I knew, all the Warlords were dead, except for Ari. Where was she now? I couldn't tell but wherever she was... I just felt like losing her was my fault because I couldn't get her into the evac ship quick enough so a dreadful sting of guilt left with me. I had left Ari in that wasteland, a place where everything was dead. The dead people I saw, all the destruction and death, all the suffering.
Now I gave myself one goal for my life; one goal that I didn't care if took as long as a lifetime.
Now here it is.
"I'm gonna kill you Akuma- one way or another and I'll even go through dimensions if I have to..."
The end...
