Darkest Days

I kept having a lingering feeling of dread that just kept my mind running on some grueling thoughts. It wasn't normal as well, I felt a little bit nervous at that thought as well.

The worst part about all this is I kept telling myself

'What if he already completed that Kitsune Project thing?!' That question kept repeating itself in my mind like an explosion because my thoughts were so messed up I couldn't even trust myself to fall asleep now...

So I sat up on my bed and looked around; nothing there. Then I looked to my left where my window was...

"You definitely screwed up  Specter..." Crow says as he makes his presence known here. I flinched back when I saw him and then I quickly took one of the katana on my wall... I know they were only model ones but this was the only way to defend myself at this point.

"What the fuck man?!! Stop fucking messing with me and let me sleep you bitch ass!!" I yelled at him, now standing up. My legs and body were weak from fear... which only worried me even further. I didn't even have my armour on yet let alone any equipment...

"You're on the verge of death now and the first thing you do is fight back at the face of death? How bizzare..." He added with an eerily hushed tone. Now that I was almost against the wall behind me... I felt extremely vulnerable I never thought I would get to a point where I would be holding onto my life so desperately.

"Lets say I took your element... what would you do?" He asked whilst he took a seat on my window seal.

"I would be dead, my element is binded to me" I replied, whilst I began to scan litterly anywhere to escape at this point...

"Oh well... too bad then I geuss" As he said that last line in a hushed mutter I felt a sudden sharp pain from behind me and I had to run off the wall. I turned around to cut the spike I had found on my wall trying to cut me with a swift swipe but I was immediately interrupted by another sharp pain. It was much stronger than last time and I felt something move away from my stomach. I had to let out the most blood curdling scream I've ever made in order to resist it. Before I could even fight back, I knew that I was done for... because I knew my element had been absorbed and if the dark element was taken in the wrong hands it could mean the universe could end...

So I quickly moved away from his grasp before it got worse and luckily, I managed to get away from the absorption. I kept my element, thankfully, and afterwards I tried to slice him in any way possible. Even if I had a model katana. I nearly got him but he moved away from my weapon. I knew I couldn't get close to him either; hand to hand combat is dangerous with an opponent of such a magnitude. Crow could definitely end Terra if he wanted to right now... which wasn't a good thing both for me and the elemental race. (Yeah they all look human but they've got elements so their called elementals).

I had a  couple of choices here... one, leave... somehow

Two, I get to my armoury, and get my actual katana.

Both of which are grueling tasks and I didn't want to wake Maki up.

I did the only thing that could be easy... I broke the window behind me and then jumped out. Thanks to NextGen I knew how to land now so I did just that. I ran back into the house and I got into my armoury in just a few seconds which really made my adrenaline kick in. Which was good for the time being; I couldn't tell what I grabbed from there since the area was so dark and I only managed to get my chest plate. Of course he followed me down there... of course

"Your attempts to flee are futile my friend!" He exclaimed, his voice sounding like it was in pure escaty seeing me suffer. He even seemed to have a bunch of tentacles behind him now. Grey with purple accents at the end. They at least looked and acted like tentacles and then they latched onto me, wrapped around me and covered my mouth so I couldn't call for help.

Your fucking dead... your actually fucking dead

I had nothing on me to help at this point... nothing that could get me out of here. Nothing to do, no one to call, no one that could help. Maki was still asleep but I couldn't tell her in anyway now so I was completely... fucked.

"Now... I'll give you one chance to say your last words. Foolish samurai" His speech cracking into laughter as he approached me with an eerie aura. I could see nothing but two blue lights that resembled his eyes when I looked ahead of me in the dark.

For some reason... I had a flashback, I was taken back to a day when I was younger. When I didn't have to worry about warfare or destruction or anything like that. I could see Kan Sensei in front of me. Whilst I was training he told me...

'If you keep this up... you'll be able to take control of the darkness' He told me as he watched me train. Blood in my hands as I swung that wooden katana... hitting it against that log that I made many of my memories with.

'What do you mean?' My younger self asked in return.

'You'll understand soon enough Specter'

Then I snapped back to the present. It was like a journey on some sort of... Time machine

"I can't let the memories I made in training go to waste... I have too much to live for" I groaned to Crow. Holding me hostage like a toy but I wanted to prove that I wasn't a toy at all.

"What a foolish response, don't make me laugh you despicable mass of darkness!!" He yelled at me. I could feel his disgusting spit scattered all over my face. He triggered me now...

"I'M. NOT. A. MASS. OF. DARKNESS!!!"
