So when we got down here, we were met with what seemed to be any traditional Japanese fortress. Walls that were thick in density with intricate designs engraved in them. Every detail was like a poem that told a forgotten story buried under time. Red pillars that struggled to hold its foundations together with an infectious moss growing in its corners. The place was also dark; as dark as an unlit night.
"This is where my people would make their armour, weapons and their secrets lie all here." Specter explained as we walked down this dreadful tunnel.
"Should I use a light spell here so we can see?" I asked in a rather quite tone."Yes, you can, and stop asking so many questions-" He replied in an almost demanding voice. I put my index finger out after and flicked it. Afterwards, a little ball of light seemed to have appeared in between the gap we were in like I had just switched on a light.
"I'm sorry..." I whispered in response. He turned around and looked at me with an almost questioning stare.
"Sorry for what? It's not like you did anything bad...." He almost exclaimed; his sentence almost cracked into laughter as a smirk formed on his face.
He burst out into laughter anyway. Laughing so hard he practically was almost crying too.
"Oh... heh, oh my days, you just can't live without knowing about my wellbeing- it's adorable" He chuckled.
Why the hell would you scare the fuck outta me over a compliment you sound like villain when you laugh.
So I just slapped him across the face now, at the same time I was blushing; I'm not gonna lie. "You dibshit! Quit scaring me!" I exclaimed in response. He then simply tanked my slap, like he does with any other attack, and then he regains his composure, giving out a long sigh. "Well, at least I don't have to walk this damn basement myself. This shit doesn't give me good vibes"
We walked and walked our way through this eerie, misty, dark labyrinth... Until, we came across a dead end. Just simply nothing before us other than a stupid wall.
"Seriously?! How are we meant to get this intel? We don't have enough strong people to fight for us as well!" I exclaimed when we got there but Specter looked back at me with the most unamused expression I could ever see.
I laughed my arse off.
"Nah, nah, cos, your stupid, there's a damn button on the floor if you squint, or are you fucking blind?" He groaned.
"Hey! This whole ass place is shrouded in darkness, how on Terra am I meant to know?!" I answered back. After a few more sentences, Specter stepped on the button and the wall before us broke off. Bit by bit, brick by brick and the robotic buzz of bionic pistons could be heard accompanying it. The wall moved out of our sight.
And now there was a white hallway leading to...
Well, to nowhere. There was a cold breeze coming out of it, like a freezer. It made me shudder and not only that, the fact that it stretched as far as the eye can see almost scared me too. Some sense of dread, overwhelming dread.
Something... purely made for triggering nightmares. Specter looked over to me; a questioning look on his face. "You good?" He asked calmly, also rather cautiously. "Y-yeah..." I lied straight away. We then made our way into this endless hallway. As we walked, we saw nothing; no doors, no decorations, no marks... nothing. It wall just plain paper white.
"Bingo!" A voice suddenly called out, echoing all throughout the entire area. We both perked up and looked around to see who's voice this was, but we were left with no sign. When we looked up, we saw that the ceiling was one, unnervingly low and two. There was a speaker there, which kind of answered our questions but. I still felt horrificly uneasy.
