Prisha ran around her room stuffing her things in her bag cursing her alarm for the umpteenth time for ditching her and not ringing on time.

She has no idea how she wasn't able to hear it. But because of that she is late. And she hates to be late.

Her day was really crappy. First the alarm gave up. Then she got late. She could not have her breakfast and morning tea. On top of that when she reached her office her boss was on rounds and asked her thousand questions for being late. And as if this much wasn't enough she was given a lot of workload.

It was 10 and she finally reached home. Two hours later than usual. Her parents had already had their dinner and she had to have hers alone. Her mother sat with her but she was the only one eating.

She was dead tired and was going to her room after washing the dishes when her mother remembered something.

"Arre Prisha! Tere liye ek parcel aaya tha subha. Tu chali gyi thi tab. Dekh lena. Kaafi bada tha kuch important lag rha tha."

Prisha frowned. She hadn't ordered anything neither was she going to receive any parcel she was aware of.

Nodding to her mother and kissing her a good night she went to her room. She saw the parcel her mother was talking about on the study table.

It was a big box. Knowing she won't be able to sleep until she is aware what it was she put it on the bed and opening it carefully.

She removed the box's lid and picked up the paper on top.

Finally after 10 years I got the courage to post this. I don't know how you're going to react after seeing these but I just wanted you to know. You probably won't even remember me.
But for me you've always been someone really special. The best part of the day for me.
I wrote these letters long back Prisha. I have numbered them in order.
Agar padho toh please uss order mai padha.

Prisha's sleep was shooed off. Letters? Someone wrote her letters? In the 21st century? She put the paper aside and true to the words of the person there were more than 100 or so letters. All numbered in order.

Curiousity got better of her and she picked up the one with #1 on top of it. She opened the envelope and started reading.

Hi Prisha
This is my attempt at writing letters. I have no experience of it toh agar kuch stupid likh du toh please forgive me.
I don't know where to start.
Let me start from the beginning then.
It's been a week since I saw you. And I know it will sound cheesy and filmy but I also know you love cheese and Bollywood so I'll say it.
You took my breath away. I stopped, time stopped. And I felt it. Because at that moment mujhe sirf tum dikh rhi thi. Everything else wad blurred out. Every other voice faded in the background.
It was only you and me.
I know it might be too soon to say this but I think-I know you're the one. Even though you don't know me but I know it.
And I think this will not be the only letter I'll be writing.
Only yours

Prisha was shocked. She had a secret admirer all this time and she wasn't even aware.

And it was someone who knew her well. Knew her love for cheese and Bollywood. What else did he know? How did he know her?

She knew she wouldn't be able to sleep until she solves this mystery and she read the next 5 letters also.

From the letters it was clear that the person was smitten by her. She also got to know that it was someone from her school and probably from her class even. She didn't know many people from her class. She wasn't very social in school.

When this mystery was finally solved about how he knew her she sighed. Her brain could rest now. And that's when she realised how tired she actually was.

Putting her alarm and double checking her she slept putting the box in her cupboard neatly.

She had completely forgotten about it until her mother mentioned it on dinner a few days later.

"Arre mai toh puchhna hi bhul gyi. Wo uss din jo parcel aaya tha kya tha wo?"

Prisha looked at her father who was busy in his food and said.

"Maine kuch order kia tha. Wahi tha."

She felt it a little awkward to day that she had a secret admirer in front of her father.

After dinner her mother came to her room and Prisha laid with her head on her lap while she caressed her hair.

"Kya tha uss parcel mai?"

"Aapko kaise pata mai jooth bol rhi thi?"

She asked and her mother hit her head lightly.

"Maa hu mai teri. Ab bta kya tha usme?"

Prisha blushed and slowly told her mother. After she finished there was silence until her mother squealed.

"You have a secret admirer!"

"Mumma! Papa sun lenge. Dheere!"

Prisha giggled seeing her mother's excitement.

"Chhod tere papa ko. Merko bhi ek secret admirer chahiye tha hamesha. Lekin mil gye tere papa. Ye toh admire hi nhi krte."

Prisha smiled naughtily and said.

"Haan papa toh love krte hai na. Intense, passionate love."

Her mother's eyed widened and her cheeks reddened. Prisha shared a very open relationship with her mother.

"Hatt besharam!"

She giggled making her mother giggle too.

"Achha ab ye bta what are you going to do with those letters and the person who wrote it?"

"Pta nhi."

Prisha shrugged and her mother asked.

"Dhundegi usse?"

"I don't know! Kya pta usne sirf fun ke liye likha ho?"

"Beta! Koi bhi ladka kisi ladki ko fun ke liye 100 se jyada letters nhi likhta."

Her mother had a point.

"Ye waise bhi 10 saal pehle ki baat thi. Ab toh wo mere liye kuch feel bhi nhi krta hoga."

"Nhi krta hota toh letters post kyu krta meri jaan. Mai bas itna keh rhi hu ki agar dundho bhi toh be safe and careful."

Prisha nodded and her mother left kissing her head.
