"You love him!"
It wasn't a question. It was a statement. Prisha closed her eyes and nodded once. There was silence for a long time.
"I think you should read the remaining letters. I don't know about him but I can't see my daughter like this."
She said and left after kissing her head.
Prisha sat there for a long time before taking a deep breath and taking the box out.
Her mother was right. She should read the remaining letters and talk to him. She knew she couldn't stay put until she does so.
She finally started reading the letters. There weren't many letters after school. He wrote one or two during his college.
Which made her hopes of him still having feelings for her a little low.
Taking a deep breath she finally opened the letter numbered #108. The final letter. The letter which held her destiny.
She didn't know what to expect. The letter looked newer than the other ones. Was this written recently?
Hi Prisha,
I can't believe I am doing this. Bhut baar socha tha to post these letters but kabhi himmat nhi hui.
Aaj finally thodi himmat aayi. Toh socha ki isse pehle phir se back gear lag jaaye aur kuch saalon mai tum kisi aur ko pasand kr lo I should send this.
So here I am. Also for reference ki letter bhut purana nhi hai I am writing today's date above.Prisha's eyes went to the date mentioned above and she realised that it was just a few days before she received the box.
That meant he still loved her right? A wide smile formed on her face and she giggled.
I don't know if you'll be able to recognise me. Although I am somewhat sure you have. Phir bhi I'll disclose who I am. Pta nhi tum milna chahogi ya nhi. Pr mai issi hope mai jeena chahta hu.
Bas ek request hai. Agar pasand na aau ya koi aur already pasand ho toh please apni shaadi mai mat bulana.
Puri zindagi issi hope mai jee lunga ki shayad ek din tum aao lekin tum kisi aur ki ho ye sunke nhi jee paaunga.
I really really really love you Prisha.
I wish you'd come. I wish we'd be together. Not just in my dreams.
I love you so much.
Tumhara YuvaanPrisha was grinning, giggling and laughing. If someone saw her right now they would successfully consider her mad.
But she didn't care. She was too happy today. She couldn't wait anymore. She was going to meet him tomorrow.
Hold on! But where? She didn't know where he lived. She groaned hiding her face in the pillow.
She lay on the bed like a deadbody staring at the ceiling until an idea stuck her.
She opened LinkedIn and went through his posts. She knew where his office building was. He would be in office right.
Maybe she could meet him there. Yes! She couldn definitely meet him there.
She rushed to her wardrobe to look for a good dress to wear the next day. After going through her wardrobe thrice and rejecting the same outfits for the third time she settled on the one her mother would select the next day.
She laid on her bed with a pout until it turned into a grin.
The next day she woke up too early. She went and hugged her mother from behind when she was in the kitchen making her jump in fear.
"Hey Bhagwaan! Heart attack dena chahti hai kya? Itni jaldi kaise uth gyi tu aaj?"
Her mother asked and she grinned.
"Isse chhodo! Come with me. Mujhe aapki help chahiye."
She said dragging her mother with her.
"Arre ruk toh! Gas band krne de."
Her mother said turning off the knob and wiping her hands over her dupatta. She walked with Prisha to her room and Prisha made her stand in front of her wardrobe.
"Select a good dress to wear today. Samne wala impress ho jaaye. Matlab aankhein khuli ki khuli reh jaani chahiye."
She grinned and her mother looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"I am going to meet him."
Prisha whispered biting her lip shyly. Her mother's eyes widened and pulled her on the bed.
"Pehle mujhe uska naam, pata, photo sab dikha. Let me be sure tu safe rahegi."
Prisha nodded and showed her his picture with the name and address and also what he did.
When her mother was satisfied she got up and selected a cute floral sundress for her.
Prisha grinned wide kissing her mother's cheek and ran to the washroom to freshen up.
She was too excited and this was noticed even by her father.
"Kya baat hai? Aaj bada chehak rhi ho."
Prisha bit her lip and looked at her mother for help.
"Ji papa wo friend se milne jaa rhi hu bhut time baad. Toh bas isiliye."
Her father smiled looking into his plate and said.
"Time se aa jaana. And be safe."
He said while getting up and her mother smiled. Her husband wasn't good with words. But that didn't mean his love was any less than anyone else.
Somehow controlling herself till 11 o'clock she got ready and moved out of the house.
She reached his office by 11:45 and took a deep breath. Her heart was beating wildly due to nervousness. What will she say? How will he react?
She had some fierce entry plans. Would he yell at her? Push her? Throw her out?
No! Prisha! He loves you. More than you do.
With this thought she walked in with confident strides. Stoppiat the reception she asked what floor he was on.
"Sir is on the 15th floor ma'am. He is in a meeting right now. Do you have an appointment?"
Prisha shook her head and said.
"He doesn't know I am here. Please don't tell him. I want to surprise him. I'll wait at his floor. Thank you."
She said and took the elevator to the 15th floor.
Here I come Mr. Yuvaan Gupta.
