Holding the position of RY Hotel president, Jihoon walked across the room charismatically. He glanced at the empty vice president's office before his eyes darted to the office across it— Hao's office. Which was still empty. His eyebrows hitched. Hao is never late. He thought.

But then, as soon as he entered his office. He immediately saw two envelopes lying lifeless on his table. Confusion rushed over him. It will not be another rejection, right? He asked himself.

The response he'd been receiving frequently as he struggled to manage the hotel on his own after Soonhee's unexplained disappearance.

He picked up the two envelopes and unsealed the one on the top, pulling out a white piece of paper, and trailing his eyes along the words.

Resignation notice

No, that was not the one that had left him in shock. In fact, the name of the sender was it.

Kwon Soonhee.

Wait...

Jihoon swallowed his saliva hard, his mind immediately flew to what had happened last week. About how he wanted Soonhe to submit the resignation letter.

Along with a divorcement letter.

Jihoon's heart began to race as his movement began to lose it track. Everything in his hands almost dropped when he tried to put down Soonhee's resignation letter.

He ripped off another envelope's glue as it was open, showing the white content in it. A rush of anxiousness began to build up in him. He pulled it out and read the words that happened to be its header that hit him like a ton bricks,

Divorcement agreement.

Jihoon's heart pounded in his chest. He fished out his phone from the back of his pants. Immediately dialling a contact number that he was so sure that he knew about Soomhee's whereabout.

Unfortunately,

"The number you have dialled is not available"

"Come one, Hao, pick up the call" Jihoon muttered to himself, and placed another call on the same number.

Just to be greeted with the same voicemail.

Without wasting anytime, he kept his phone back in its place and rushed out of his office, clutching the divorce letter in his hand. The weight of his actions had finally hit him, and he knew that he couldn't let Soonhee go. He needed to find her and talk.

He hurried to the parking lot, jumped into his car, and drove with determination to no other than Soonyoung's office. He had to know where Soonhee was, no matter what it took.

His hands trembled on the steering wheel as he drove across the Seoul city. The roads seemed endless, the distance between him and finding Soonhee felt like an eternity.

The tears welled up in his eyes, blurring the road ahead. Jihoon knew he needed to make things right, to find Soonhee and beg for her forgiveness.

He clenched the steering wheel tight, pressing the gas pedal harder.

Until finally he saw a familiar building came into his sight.

Serenity Inn.

Jihoon's heart pounding in his chest as he parked his car with an urgency that left him breathless. He bolted from the car and immediately went up to the management level.
