14. Hungry

Libbie POV

After sharing another brief kiss I had taken a seat by ringside to watch him and everyone else prepare for the show that night. While Damian was in the ring with Finn and Dom I was joined by Rhea.
I had listened intently as she explained what they were doing as best she could and told me the names of all the moves. Having never really watched much wrestling I was clueless but I wanted to learn all about what my man did so I could support him properly.

I chuckle as I watch Damian playfully get Dom in a headlock and rub his knuckles against his head.

"Mami help he's messing up my hair" Dom whines

"Did he just.......is he your....."

"Oh no, mami is my gimmick and he's my on screen boyfriend I guess you could say" she says instantly knowing what I was thinking "I keep meaning to say I think the video you and D did is amazing"

"Thank you" I blush "it was definitely an amazing experience, he made everything so easy, he made suggestions and honestly I've never felt as relaxed around some one as I did with him"

"He's a great guy" she smiles "I'm it's good to finally see him happy, he's been waiting for the right one to come along for so long now"

"You think I'm the right one?" I ask hesitantly

"Absolutley, I've never seen him smile this brightly" she says "or laugh this much, most of the time he does the mean broody thing and I knew it was because he wanted to find some one he could share his life with"

"Well we will have to see about that, I come with alot of baggage" I sigh "I've been hurt so many times that just the thought of letting some one close scares me, and when I realised how I felt about him it terrified me...........but I don't want to be scared I want to be happy"

"You're not alone, he won't admit it but he's scared too" she says "the last time he loved some one he got hurt. You didn't hear this from me but he went home on his down time, he'd bought a ring while he was on the road, he was all set to propose and then he found her in bed with a guy that was at the time his best friend, so feeling the way he does about you terrifies him too. So you see you need each other"

"You better not be turning her against me nightmare" Damian says as he sits behind me and wraps his arms around my shoulders

"I would never" Rhea says feigning shock "I've been educating her and wrestling and you"

"Me? All good stuff I hope?" He asks and she nods

Damian moves his head to the other side of mine away from Rhea and kisses my cheek, keeping one arm around me. As Rhea continues to educate me I lace my fingers with his. Slowly and delicately he begins to kiss down my neck but I remain determined to concentrate on what I am being told, even when I feel his fingers slide the strap of my top down my arm and his lips begin to caress my shoulder.

"You know Priest if your hungry you could always go to catering and grab a bite instead of eating your girlfriend" Rhea says playfully "and while your at it ask your lady if she wants anything"

I laugh as Damian fake laughs and then sticks his middle finger up at her. "Do you want anything baby?" He asks kissing my cheek once again

"I'll take a water please" I smile as he stands up and then leans down to kiss me one last time

"I'll be right back.......I love you" he says quietly

"I love you too" I reply, smiling he walks up the ramp leaving me woth Rhea and the guys.

"Great, now that he is gone what are we doing about Damo's birthday?" Finn asks

"Birthday?" I ask "I didn't know his birthday was coming up?"

"Oh he won't of told you because he's not big on getting gifts" Dom says "but he does like to celebrate."

"Well my plan had been to get you here to surprise him but you beat me to it" Rhea laughs "so I'm thinking night out, have a few drinks and then let him have some time with Lib"

"Sounds like a plan to me" Finn says "fair warning you are going to love him when he's drunk" he smiles

"Oh my god yeah.....he turns into this adorable little puppy dog eyed sweetheart" Rhea laughs "he's really soppy when he's drunk always telling us he loves us"

"You know he's shit with dates so you better tell us when your birthday is and we will make sure he doesn't forget" Dom says

"November 18th" I smile "honestly though I don't mind if he forgets, I dont celebrate my birthday anymore"

For a moment everyone falls silent not really knowing what to say to me, or whether or not to ask why. I'm about to say something when a bottle of water appears over my shoulder and lips kiss my cheek.

"What's going on? Why do you all look so awkward" he asks

"I think I shocked them when I said I don't celebrate my birthday" I say taking a sip of the water

"Really?" He asks

"No, it's not a day I like to think about" I say "I haven't celebrated it for 14 years"

I watch Damian's face as the realisation hits him, instantly he wraps me up in his arms and pulls me close to him which I am more than willing to do.

"Baby I'm so sorry" he says quietly "I promise you I will find a way to make it a happy day again for you"

"Every day with you is a happy day.......it really doesn't matter about that one day" I say as I kiss his cheek

"As long as your mine there isn't going to be a single day you don't smile" he says "you have my word, I will make it happy again for you"
