Just when you finally think you're safe something always comes along to mess it up.

"Maggie, what the hell is that?" I questioned as we made our way from the barn.

"My dad thinks they're sick, so we've been putting them in the barn for when a cure has been made," she explained hastily before reaching out and grabbing my arm.

I turned to face her, and that's when I saw the desperation in her eyes.

"You can't tell anybody, please, Ellie, if my dad found out you knew, he'd kill me," she pleaded.

I stared at her for a moment before pulling my arm out of her grasp, "I need to be alone, Maggie," I told her before making my way towards my tent.

Once I made it, I entered through the flap and zipped it shut behind me. I could already feel a headache coming on, so I kicked my shoes off and laid down on my cot.

I was at a loss, if I didn't tell the group then I could be putting us in danger but if I did tell them, then maggie would be mad at me and her father could possibly kick us out if he found out we knew.

I sighed, I wasn't going to be figuring anything out tonight. With that in mind I turned over and shut my eyes, sleep following soon after.

I slept restlessly, waking up ever so often. After around the fourth time of this happening, I eventually gave up on sleeping, opting instead to stare up at the ceiling of my tent until I heard people starting to move around outside.

I got up slowly, my mind wandering back to last night. I was in a situation with no right answers but I was going to have to come up with one soon.

My thoughts were interrupted by my stomach growling and I took that as my sign to get up for the day. I quickly changed into some clean clothes and slipped out of my tent. I wandered over to the fire, smiling at Carol as she made me a plate of eggs.

"Morning Carol," I greeted, taking the plate and fork from her. I stabbed a bit of the eggs, wishing I had a bit of ketchup to toss on them, and I took a bite of them.

"Good morning, Ellie," I couldn't help but catch the tired look in her eyes, and I frowned. Everyone in camp knew that she's barely been sleeping, and as the days keep on adding up with her daughter still lost, the less she's been getting.

I also gathered that she didn't seem in the mood to talk, so with one final nod, I made my way over to a nearby chair and finished eating my food. I sat there for awhile after I was done and watched as more and more people started to do their morning routine.

"Aunt Ellie!" I heard someone yell and I turned and saw Carl and Lori walking into camp from the direction of where the chickens were.

"Hey little man, glad to see you up and walking around," I said to him and I stood up and wrapped my arms around him, taking caution not to put any pressure on his wound.

"I got to feed the chicken's," he tells me excitedly and I couldn't help but grin. "That's awesome bud," I say as I ruffle his hair, laughing as he swats my hand away.

I stand up, putting my empty plate with the others before looking at Lori. "I'm gonna go walk the grounds, you need anything before I do?" I ask her, trying to be discreet about what I was really referring to.

"No, I'm alright Ellie, thank you," she says kind of quickly and I look at her for a moment before sighing, "Alright....just let me know of you do," I tell her before making my way out of camp.

A few minutes later, I'm settled against a fence post, my gaze locked on to the barn. I felt really uneasy with the fact that there were dozens of Walker's only a small walk away from camp.
