Chapter 9- The Promise.

"Aarzu, come on girl, let's go in!" said Raina holding her hand,

"Why? But-", Raina pulled her with a force that made her trip,

The best friends went upstairs where there were no sounds of chattering heard,

Everybody was in the lawn, enjoying the games,

Aarzu and Raina were upstairs inside the house,

"Why did you bring me here, i was having fun outside", Aarzu said scrunching her face that looked like a daisy,

"You'll have more fun here", she told opening the lock of the door hastily,

Aarzu was clueless; she stood there watching her best friend struggling to open the door,

Once she heard the tick, Raina told her, "okay, don't come out until i say",

"But this is your brothers room", she said as her best friend pushed her inside and told her to wait,

Aarzu saw her favourite flowers decorated all across the room, she twirled with confusion and shock, she walked towards the cabinet where her favourite perfume was kept, she took it in her hands and realised that it was already half used,

'What is all this?' she thought to herself,

Raina was tapping her feet on ground just when she saw Adam running towards her,

"She's in?" he questioned slowly,

Raina nodded and whispered into Adams ear, "I'll be right here, complete your business",

Adam nodded and went inside the room; he locked the door and the sound made Aarzu turn,

She blinked as she saw him stand near the locked door,

"Don't get scared, I won't do anything wrong", Adam said as he saw her panic,

"R-R-Raina........?"She stammered

"Yes, she's right outside",

He saw the perfume bottle in her hands and took a deep breathe,

"What is all this?" Aarzu questioned him with pure confusion spread all over her face,

"You love lavenders" he said and she nodded, "and I love you", he added,

She stood still; it felt like she misheard his words,

"Huh?"

"I love you, Aarzu", he confessed, "and i don't need your answer right away, I can wait longer, in fact I can spare an entire eternity if you tell me to, you can think about it and I will also talk to our parents about this, I want to marry you Aarzu, I want to build a family with you, validate my feelings, please",

Aarzu went completely numb hearing all of it, her eyes shining bright with positivity, she wanted to scream yes, she wanted to have him, she wanted to be with him but she didn't know how to react,

"Why?" she asked him,

"There's no why Aarzu, I love you because I want to, it's not attraction or a temporal love, I've been loving you from 5 years, I've been loving you ever since you walked in that door that night, I love you because I want to, it's completely my choice,
