[present day]
"That's it", Aarzu said leaning over her bestfriends belly, "are you asleep?"
"Nope. I'm wide awake", Raina said as she let out a huge yawn,
"Okay now sleep, shabbah khair", Aarzu said while adjusting the blanket on her best friend's body,
"But Aarzu-?"
"Hm?"
"I thought there'd be more"
"More? Like what?"
"I thought bhai would've said something romantic, something sensual, something that would take the breathe away- but he disappointed me, again."
"What do you mean by all that? His promise doesn't let me sleep"
"Girl! It took you one month and four days to tell this?"
Aarzu rolled her eyes and sighed, Raina spoke again,"but I knew"
"Knew what?" she asked raising her brows,
"About it"
Aarzu narrowed her eyes and tilted her head,
"I knew Adam bhai was confessing"
"He told you about that?"
"Nah I decorated his room but the idea was his"
"WHAT?"
"Yeah?"
"And you're telling me now? You knew about all of it and you didn't tell me?"
"It was a surprise, jaanii"
Aarzu twitched and looked away in disbelief,
"Aarzu meri jaan?"
"toh tumhein pata tha, even that promise?"
(So you knew already)
"Yes, I actually told him to promise you"
"Really?" Aarzu asked while she nodded in acceptance,
"Okay Aarzu baby now sleep", Raina said as her phone rang, Aarzu peeped into the screen and someone with a name saved as 'hayatim' called,
(hayatim in Turkish means 'my life')
Aarzu cleared her throat and they both smiled, "you talk, I'll be in the balcony", saying this she left Raina alone and went to the balcony,
After an hour, Raina kept the phone and then they both called it a night.
The next morning as Raina woke up; she saw Aarzu on the prayer mat cuddling with her cats,
"Subah Bakhair, Aarzu"
"Come on, you woke up on time, you'll get fajr"
(fajr- morning prayers)
Raina got up and offered her salah, the girls went downstairs after a few minutes.
"Assalamualaikum uncle", Raina told Javed who was flipping the newspaper with a tensed expression,
'Ah! Walaikumusalaam beta, had a good sleep?"
"Yes! I did! What about you?"
"alhamdulilah", he told as Bilal ran to him for a hug,"Aye! Mera beta", he said kissing his cheeks,
"Baba? Pocket money?" the boy asked extending his arms,
"Oh! Now I see why he hugged you like that", Raina told him as he laughed,
