"These are the IV fluids you need to get, the pharmacy is in the ground floor", she instructed Adam who was carefully paying attention to her words. He agreed to her and examined the prescription as he walked to buy the meds.

The lady entered the room again, behind her was Dr Musa who was 40-ish but looked older due to his receded hairline.

"Assalamualaikum Dr Aarzu", he greeted with a professional smile. Well, that's how doctors are; they seem unnecessarily strict and professional. But that's what makes them stand out from every profession, people with white coats are cool!

"Walaikumusalaam Dr Musa", she sat straight fixing her previous position,

"Are you feeling any better?", he asked as he held her left wrist and examined the pulse rate,

"I feel fine, better than yesterday ", she informed. She didn't complain about her head being heavy. Why would she? She didn't think of it as a good answer.

"Any chest pain? Any sensations on your left hand?", he shifted the stethoscope towards her back and told her to breathe,

"Not really. It's fine.", she said as she took a deep breath,

"Okay", Dr. Musa nodded his head, he started writing on his note pad when she added,

"Plus i feel hungry, so its a good sign"

"Oh yes! Great then! I wish you a speedy recovery ", he told her as she smiled back at him, "where is Mr. Javed?", he questioned as he wasn't present in the room,

"He's at home-", Aarzu replied with a sadistic smile, 'and I'm all alone in this room with a man i don't even know',

"Oh? Ummm who'll get you medicine then?", he was now concerned because who stays in the hospital alone without any guardians or help?

"Sir, her fiancé is here", the nurse told the doctor with a cheeky smile, she was definitely impressed by this *fiance*

"Oh? Did you tell him to get the IV fluids then?"

"Yeah!! He might come here soon", she told and looked at Aarzu who didn't really have any response, she rather seemed uninterested,

After a brief amount of time, there was a knock on the door. "Come in", said Dr. Musa,

The nurse handed Aarzu a glass of water so that she could swallow her pills,

The door screeched as Adam opened the door, 'they should probably oil these doors'

He appeared with the meds in his hands. Ofcourse there's a ban on plastic bags.

Aarzu's eyes widened, her breath hitched in her throat and she forgot how to respire, 'Adam? What is he doing here?', the glass fell off her hands and the water was everywhere on the floor, thankfully it was made of fibre. Her eyebrows met in confusion as drops of sweat started collecting on her forehead. She was nervous.

"So you're the lucky man, huh?", the doctor told with a formal smile as Adam gave the bottles to the nurse.

They shook hands and had a casual yet very formal conversation.

Aarzu's mouth was still wide open with shock. 'Am i dreaming? Hallucinating? Did i get high cause of these drugs I'm on?', she thought,

Her eyes didn't move from his face. She was completely submerged in him. Her surroundings seemed blur and he was the only part of picture that looked clear as heck.

Her ears turned red. Was it shame? Anger? Frustration? Or love?

'Why is this man here?', the nurse handed her water again and she took a sip, then stopped. Her eyes went back to his face, 'wait! So he was here the entire night? No wayyyyyyyy!',
She wanted him to look at her, she demanded eye contact but-
