When Rin arrived at Mephistos' study, Amiamon was already there. “Amiamon, can we talk?” “About what?” Amiamon asked. Rin let out a deep, tired breath. “Truth. I’ve accepted who and what I am a while ago. I am a powerful demon, I wield the blue flames of Gehenna. That's part of why I agreed to let you teach me. Satan will never be my true father, but he had some part in my creation.” Amaimon was shocked, he did not expect that to be Rins response. He had been so quick to anger before. Rin continued “I’m trying to put together the truth behind all the lies and secrets. I have spent the last year and a half struggling to figure out what is real with what little bit of information people have given me. The true cross wants me to believe that all demons are dangerous, evil, emotionless beings. Hell, from the research I’ve done on my own, each demon has a purpose for its existence. Guideding Aissia if you will. I know this is important to stopping this war. I just don’t know what. It would be nice to get some actual answers for once. Maphisto no fucking help. I swear the bastard enjoys watching me struggle.
Lucifer talked about creating a world of balance by destroying Assish. That is not balance, that is just one conquering the other. I don’t want to be a pawn in someone else's war. But I won’t sit by and let everything I know and love be destroyed. In all the text I’ve been able to read my flames have always belonged to the king of Gehenna. I have found nothing about him having sons that can wield the blue flames. A crown prince, which many have called me. He's had plenty of sons, but no flames. My flames were only ever meant for the king of Gehenna. If I continue down my current path that is the inevitable end.” By the time he finished speaking you could see the flames dancing in his eyes.
Amaimon was staring at Rin with the same blank expression he always had, but he could not have looked away if he wanted to. The power behind his gaze was immense and terrifying. He began chewing his thumb nail, mulling over what Rin had just said before responding. The more time they spent together the more interesting Rin seemed to be. Rin was begging to understand the truth, in the end there can only be one king. He was also beginning to except his place as the crown prince. The fire dissipated from Rins eyes. He stayed quite to give Amaimon time to collect his thoughts. “You are correct. Only the king is meant to have the blue flames. They represent power absolute.” Rin interrupted “I’ve heard that in my dreams, yours is power absolute, but when I ask what that means flames surround me and I always wake up.” “ Gahhena has already begun to call you.” Amaimon stated. “What does that even mean?” Rin asked.
“Rin be quiet and listen.” Amiamon said, “The heart of gehenna is a burning living thing. Sometimes it has a will of its own. I don’t know why you were gifted with its blue flames. But Your power can bring kings to their knees. Father both desires that power, and fears it. I want to be by your side when you finally let them burn. Rin thought for a moment. "What do you mean by my side?" “Whether you chose to follow Samuel, Lucifer or your own path. I will follow you.” Amiamon declared. “Why?” was all Rin managed to say. “Your power is nothing to fear. It is something to be cherished and protected. You fiercely protect what you care about. Those who challenge you are nothing but ashes at your feet. It is my task to teach you, and I plan to see it through until the end.” “I’m going to defeat Satan or die trying. All the ba’al stands between me and him. I want my freedom. I know the cost of that freedom is going to be high. I just hope I’m able to protect the ones I love. Would you follow me to that end?” Rin asked. “My young prince there can be no other end.”
