Maphisto brought Rin and Amiamon to his manor. Lucifer returned to Gehenna to gather the ba’al. Yukio had been healed but he still needed time to recover. He had been put in one of the many bedrooms to rest. The three of them sat in Maphistos kitchen eating dinner. “So tell me Rin, what happens next? Maphisto asked. “I need to talk to satan, see if I can get him to calm the fuck down. I plan to restore the vail between the worlds. I will need all of the ba’al and Yukio to make this happen. We leave for Gahanna soon.” “I never thought I could convince you to go to gaheena.” Amiamon said. Rin smiled “I'm not afraid anymore.” “The ba'al have not come together since my oldest trees were small” Amiamon said. Suddenly Yukio stood in the doorway. “What do you mean your going to gaheena?” “My dear Yukio, you should be resting.” Maphisto said. “Stay out of this!” Yukio snapped. “Rin answer my question!” “we are going to Gahanna. We have both killed. There is no going back. We will meet with the ba'al and I will speak with satan.” Rin replied. “Are You insane? Did your senses break with your sword? Your doing exactly what they want. Dad gave up his life to keep you from Gahenna.” Yukio bellowed. Rins power filled the room. He looked at Yukio with eyes of pure fire. Looking into those eyes Yukio felt calm, safe, protected. All reason melted away. He forgot to be scared. Rin opened his arms and Yukio ran into them. “little brother I will keep you safe. Gahanna will be strange and new to us. We may even find it welcoming.” Tears ran doown Yukios face. Rin held him tighter.  “ I need your help. You have to believe in me. I love you little brother. Like I said before you've done a good job protecting me but now it's my turn.” There is was, Yukio thought. That calmness he felt before. This was his brother. He didn't want to let go. Together nothing could hurt them. All fear left him. Why had he been afraid? It didn't seem important. “Yukio.” Rin said softly. Yukio's mind swirled, after a moment the word made sense. “Rin.” He answered. Rin expression was soft, eyes a brilliant blue. Together we will change the world.” “Come now, we must greet our guests.” Maphisto said. “what guests?” Rin asked.
To Rins surprise all his friends were there to. Along with Shura. Shea had gotten his friends out before the exorcists could arrest them. Rin smiled. The order would have used them against him. Shiami was crying. Izumo was trying to calm her down. Everyone else was quite. Bon spoke up first, he was angry “all those people, Rin. Why? Are you even still the friend I know?” Rin answered calmly “yes and no. This is what I was always meant to be. A demon. Not the half human boy you knew.” “Some part of you must still be human.” Shura pleaded. “Shura, I was never human. Amiamon helped me realize that.” Rin replied. The order tried to kill me. My life here is over. I'm sorry, but yours may be too. I will still do anything to protect you. Thank you for being my friends. It went against everything you believe in.  “How can you be so calm after what you did? Koneko said angerly. “I made a choice. I chose Yukio's life. Yukio holds me to this world. This world I love. Yukio is my twin.”  Rin replied. Bon gave Amaimon a nervous look, then back to Rin. “What about him? Bon managed to say. Amiamon let out a low growl. Rin put his hand on Amaimons shoulder. “He is a king. He deserves respect. He protected me. I would be dead if he hadn't. And he is mine protect.”
Maphisto interrupted “I did not bring all of you here to argue. We need to discuss what happens next. The order knows you are important to Rin. They will try to use you against him. Enough damage has been done already. I have arranged for a safe house for you until we return. I have disabled my keys so the order cannot look for you easily.” “I don’t want to hide.” Bon said. “Let the order Interrogate me. Rin if you would kill to save me, don’t.” Yukio spoke “you don't know what you're talking about. You haven't been locked in one of their cells. I'm so sorry Rin. I never understood how scared you must have been. Rin laid a hand on his shoulder “i forgive you.” Yukio continued “The order will torture all of you and set a trap for Rin.” Maphisto handed him a key. “this will take you where you need to go.” Izumo asked “where are you going?” “Gahanna” Amiamon replied. “we've wasted enough time.” Rin said. “Yukio, will you trust me? Leave your fear behind, Come with me to gaheena. The ba'al waits for us.” Rin asked Maphisto for a small knife. He ran the blade across his hand,  blood dropped to the floor. The ground began to open. The Gehenna gate appeared. “Amiamon, Maphisto,  Yukio, are you ready?” “Let's go.” Yukio said. Rin looked back at his friends sadly. “I really hope you chose to be safe. Either way I will be back.” They stepped into the Gehenna gate and disappeared.
