Shura stood in front of him, sword raised. “I can't let you go any further.” Rin replied, “Shura, you have always stood by me. Your my friend. I love you. “I love you too. Don’t make me do this.” Shura said. “The exorcists tired to kill me. They tortured Yukio. They are doing the same to Amaimon. Do you really think the other demon kings will sit by while one of their own is captured. If I fail, the world will fall.” Rin replied. “There has to be a different way. You didn't need to kill all those people.” Shura pleaded. “I could have turned them all to ash with a thought. Instead, I turned their own weapons against them. It was mercy. Some of them will live.”  Tears streamed down Shuras face. “Don’t do this, Rin, this isn’t you.” I understand the truth now.” “And what truth is that? Shura demanded. "The world is what it is. It can be harsh. You have to fight to make the world you want. And if you do, you have to fight to keep it that way. I plan to change the world. To do that I need Yukio and Amaimon.” Shura lowered her sword. “And how do you plan to do that?” she asked. “Humans were never meant to see the monsters and demons were only meant to watch. I plan to restore that balance. The exorcists are beyond hope. They will not understand that I am only doing what's necessary to save them. Even when I stop Samule and Lucifers war, balance will not be achieved. “What do you plan to do Rin? Shura asked Rin gave her a warm smile. “Shura, please just trust me. I need to get to Amaimon quickly.” Shura lowered her eyes. “You won't like what you see. I won't help you kill anymore people.” She said quietly. “That's what I'm trying to avoid.” Shura thought for a moment, then looked back up. “I'll help you Rin. Don't make me regret it. Fallow me.”
Shura led Rin down several hallways. Then, they stopped in front of a large metal door. It was covered in binding symbols. “He's in here, but the door is sealed.” Shura said. “Seals are easily broken.” Rin put his hand on the door. The symbols burned away in blue flames. The room behind the door was pitch black except for the light that shone though the door. Amiamon hung limp in his chains. The medal ring still around his neck. His eye was swollen, lip split open. He was covered in blood. Anger filled him. “This is how the exorcists treat demons. A king. The order is corrupt. They will come for you and my friends next.” Rin stated. He walked into the room. “Amiamon, it's time to wake up.” Amiamon raised his head. “I knew you would come.” Rin broke the caller from around his neck. Then snapped the shackles off his wrists. Amiamon collapsed against him. Rin poured his flames into him. He healed. Amiamon stood up. “ What's next Rin? If it is my choice, I would make them suffer for what they did to me.” Amiamon asked. “you deserve your revenge, but that will not bring balance.” “Then I will follow you.” Amiamon answered. “It's time to go. If the exorcists catch up to us, more will die.” Rin said calmly. “Shura, you should come with us.” “I can't.” She replied. “Then protect my friends. If the order takes them, I will come back.” “I will” Shura promised. Rin and Amaimon walked out together, destroying everything in their path.
