I was never intrigued in the things that pertain to love. All my life, I guarded my heart away from the lies of other people, saying they can love me forever and will never leave me. The word forever itself is already a lie, because all the things in this world are temporary. There is no such thing as forever so I don't believe those liars if they say there is forever.
I learned to distance myself from them. Yes, I do have suitors but whenever they talk about forever, it made me puke.
I mean, those kinds of words will make a girl fall for them, but for how long.
I want a guy that is genuine and caring. A guy who will not promise me those icky, hair-raising and nauseous "sugar-coated" words, but also a man who is damn right, honest to his word.
Is that a rare thing in this world? Yes, maybe, until I met this man. He is honest, and damn right truthful to his words. A perfect one that I have been dreaming about the most.
"Rhys, do you mind if I sit here?" A voice came disturbing my lovely thoughts. I looked up to the person who called out for my name.
This guy is grinning at me like we know each other, but the truth is he's unfamiliar to me. Good manners called, I just nodded my head and smiled a little.
"I don't mind," I answered right away. He uttered a thank you and served himself a sit across from me.
I am in the library waiting for my boyfriend. I don't have classes anymore for this day and he told me we can hang out in his apartment before he can drive off me to my house.
From: Neo
Otw, Rhys where are you at?
To: Neo
Right wing.
He replied with a heart emoji and I smiled. I get excited thinking that I will see him again.
The weekends are flying by so fast as our midterm exams are waving from a distance. With this, we agreed to study together, which made me happy as well. Not only do I get to see his handsome face, I will also get a chance to rest at his apartment. His place has good ventilation.
"Rhys, ah..." The one who's been occupying the sit across mine, suddenly spoke up, which put my thoughts into a halt. I looked up and made eye contact with him.
"Are you also staying in a boarding house?" He smiled as he asked me that question.
I don't know the guy and he's also suspicious because he knew me, so I forced a smile and just shook my head.
"Then where are you staying?"
