Busted

It has been a month since the new of the failed investment and they have been struggling to survive.

Angel stopped college because there were no means of paying tuition fee ,she didn't mind because she needed break from college anyways.

They started doing side job to make a living ,angel went to work at a book shop she usually see anytime she was going to campus.

It's was going smoothly until one particular day they found something ,something that was shocking to everybody except someone .

It was raining after some few hours when angel came back from work ,her mum was at home resting since she came back before anyone else.

She went into her mum's room to greet her when she saw something she wish she never saw ,her mum and another man one the bed talking which was not her father ,she stood there dumbfounded ,she wanted to speak but the words was caught in her throat.

She only managed to squeak a word"what is going on here"she said with a look of betrayal on her face . Her mum did not notice her until she spoke up.
She looked so pale ,and there was streak of tears on her face which means she has been crying.

She stood up immediately and wanted to talk but she was breathing fast,"calm down mum what's is going on"angel said ,all anger disappeared immediately.

"Oh honey please sit down"Jen said (angels mum name) angel walked and sat down without not looking at the man suspiciously.

"This man right here is a doctor he came just now ,what I am about to tell you please darling don't tell anyone" she pleaded.
"Mum just tell me ,what happened,who died?,did anybody got a..." angel did not get to finish her word ,when her mum said it in one breath.

"I have cancer"she said and closed her eye. Angel eye went wide ,she didn't even say anything until she started sobbing .
"Wait...what...when..how you didn't tell anybody,oh you just found out today" she said while crying .
They hugged for a long time while they both cried ,the doctor was almost on the verge of tears so he left immediately,angel rested on her mum's bed to comfort her.
It was only an hour but it felt like a whole year to the both of them.

Angel left immediately her mum's room ,to make sure she rested very well,she needs it.
She went into her room and asked why this was happening to them ,it was really overwhelming,all this new in less than a year .

She peeled of her cloth with the last strength she had,she went into the bathroom to do her business ,when she was done she went straight to her mum's room to check up on her .
She breathed a breathe of relive when she saw that she was still sleeping and breathing.

Everybody came back from their various jobs to find angel and her mum making breakfast in the kitchen ,it was a rare sight but they all kept quiet and waited for the food to be ready.

Jen was not sure if she should tell them about her situation,she had to tell them they would find out probably right?
She was still checking if she should do it or not.

Angel had already told her mum to tell them ,she can't bear it if she was the only one that knew.
They set their plates to carry their food ,when they where all comfortable on their chairs angel gave her mum the signal to talk or she would talk.

"Umm I would like to tell you guys something..I."she hesitated but she took in deep breathe and said it at last.
"I have cancer" she half yelled and the table went quiet.
Everybody looked at her and dropped their utensils,
"What did you just say " my dad spoke up ,he had tears in his eye.
"I have cancer honey" my mum said with her blood shot eye.

I looked around the table to see any reaction,everyone was just quiet,my elder brother laughed and stood up from where he was seated and went outside .
My sister continued eating her food with tear in her eye ,it was a weird sight to see.
"How long have you known about mum's situation" my dads eye where on me .

"She just told me today,actually I found out by myself" I said and stood up.
"So you couldn't call any of us to inform us about it" my sister spoke with anger .
Oh no they're not about to turn the tables around and blame me right.

"I was shocked when I found out and I also promised mum she would be the one to tell you guys ,so don't try to turn the table around here ,if you where to be in my show what would had done ,alert everybody at once and put in a tight position "I said in one breath.

She was about to speak again when we heard a loud crash from outside .
I was rooted in one place because it brought back memories that I had tried desperately to forget.
My mum saw that I was not moving she decided to stay with me while my dad and my sister went to check what happened.

"Honey look at me "my mum said,I looked at her and was breathing hard.
"You are not there anymore you are safe here "she said while patting my back.
Was I safe here ?that was what ran through my mind at that moments.

After the whole commotion everybody settled back in the sitting room ,nobody dared to look at my mum .
There where worried sick,so we decided she was going to stay in the hospital for the main time ,she was just in the first stage so it was not that serious right?
I tried reassuring myself ,I sighed and went to sleep that night .
"Can't I just die yet" I said as I drifted off to nightmare land

So I may have made some mistake while writing forgive your cute author .🥺
Ok so I decided to update again because I just can't torture you guys like that I am not heartless🌚.
