She wasn't a patient woman, maybe before... when her life is not as complicated. Waiting - yet she was waiting ... she drummed her fingers on the table, took a deep breath and looked at her eve rose Rolex watch one last time. Time is ticking as her temper threaten to drop.

She was done with her office work alright, but this sudden call pushed her to have a detour in the nearest Starbucks from her office, yet the main reason of her being there was nowhere to be found. She looked at the half way done caramel macchiato she ordered half an hour ago... she rolled her eyes, if it wasn't for the cozy smell of coffee and relaxing music the cafe played at the background she might already lost her cool and immediately leave the establishment.

The sound of the door opening caught her attention, she narrowed her eyes as she focused her attention to the man who is busy scanning the whole place looking for someone. The time their eyes met the guy smirked.

Its been years since he saw the guy and seeing him now walked... no, not walked, she searched for the right word. Swaggered. It somehow brings justice to the wasted time she just spend to wait. The years make this man more masculine than he used to be from the last time they saw each other, his brown locks now flowed just beyond the nape of his neck to be caught by a rubber band in a short ponytail.

"Hey!" he sat in front of the lady with midnight blue hair.

She pouted... she thought she already forgotten that gesture. Seeing this man truly brings wonderful memories, he made her remember the summer, the sunshine and the flowers.

"Hey... you owe me one mister" she smiled, the smile she used to have years ago, the smile she thought won't reach her lips anymore.

"Well, sorry to mess your schedule my empress" the man took her half emptied cup and sip the remaining liquid.

"Kiba kun! that's not proper..." she blushed as she took her coffee back.

Her best friend laughed, his fangs showing.

"C'mon Hinata" he grinned and looked at the lady before her. He missed this girl, no, this lady so much and looking at her right now, elegant and stunningly beautiful makes him feel proud that she is his best friend.

"Stop staring Kiba kun.. you know I can't stay much its already a bit late you know" she cupped her chin in her hands leaning closer.

"Okay okay impatient as ever Ms. Hyuuga." he wave his hand. " I came here to talk about the proposal" Kiba smirked.

"Proposal?.. a business proposal?" she didn't expect that. She knew how Kiba hated the business world that is why he choose to be a policeman back in their town in Fukuoka.

"Jeezz Hinata, you knew me more than that.. of course it is not a business proposal" Kiba protested.

"That is why I am asking you big boy... coz I know you got zero interest about businesses and just the sound of it makes you wanna throw up"

"I really wanted to throw up right now.." Kiba sneered.

"Go on then.." Hinata challenged him.

" Don't make me.. " Kiba looked at her and grinned, he then opened his mouth and point his index finger in. Hinata's eyes went wide as she snatched Kiba's hand.

"Disgusting..." She wanted to hit her best friend who is now laughing hard.

"I win..." he reached for her cheeks and gave them a soft pinched.

"Okay, okay .. so what is this proposal all about and what am I got to do with this?" she slapped his hands off her face, its a good thing she does not wear any make up or the result of that pinched will not be very comforting.

"A proposal ... a marriage proposal to be exact" he said as he blushed hard.

"Ehh.."

She slumped herself to her king sized bed as soon as she reached her room. She was still in her working clothes but she doesn't care, she is just too tired to even bother. Hinata closed her eyes trying to put herself in a deep slumber but to her dismay she just found herself starring at the ceiling.

"Kiba kun is getting married..." she whispered to herself.

"He is actually getting married" she smiled... Good for him, she told herself. She felt a hint of jealousy, not because she had a special feelings for him.. well he is special to her of course, but it is the type of jealousy that finally Kiba had his special someone yet she has no one.

That unusual feeling made her stood up and surrendered to the fact that it'll be one sleepless night for her...again.

She strides towards the balcony feeling the softness of the carpet under her bare feet. She unlocked the glass door that separates her room from the view of the city outside. As she does, she caught a glimpse of her reflection. She studied herself, pale as ever... she thought. She remembered how her classmates in college called her the snow princess, not only because she is as white as the snow but also how cold she was to them.

Her dark midnight blue hair was swept off her neck and tied into a bun secured with a lavender clip. At twenty four, turning twenty five she had a face too young for her age. She already used that asset to her advantage to win clients, most of which were so captivated by her that she receives lots and lots of indecent proposals... well, some had good intentions but the only relationship she can offer them, if they were lucky enough, is friendship.

She look at her eyes, her unique pair of pale lavender eyes, beautiful yet lacking. They don't have that glow they used to have, she knows the very reason why and before she can go that far she already dismissed the thought.

She took a deep breath and slide the door... Past is past I must not dwell on it, a gust of wind greeted her, she pulled the lavender clip and freed her hair. She closed her eyes feeling the coldness of the air and how it gently blew her hair.

She lives in a penthouse giving her a majestic view of the nightscape, the city lights were like stars on the ground as if waiting for someone to pick them up. A certain memory keeps on knocking, but again.. she wanted to shut her brain off and block those memories.

She looked at the sky... and her heart suddenly whispered...

"I hope you're here with me"....
