A Blind Date

Anastasia
When Annabelle told me she was bringing a blind date to the charity ball I thought she meant that she was bringing someone who she was set up with. I had no idea she meant he was actually blind. Who knew my sister would start dating a blind man. Dad brought Lydia Collins someone he had met through his friends. Brad Herman was a real eye opener for all of us. It was hard to know if he was joking because we just met him. Eventually he had the whole table laughing. I think we all really liked her choice in dates. He is apparently a player though. According to Elliott and Christian he brings a new girl to events all the time. I hope Annabelle doesn't get her heart broken. I didn't ask how he became blind because it is usually uncomfortable to ask such things.

Mia
Brad Herman is the last person that I expected to go out with Annabelle, but here he is enjoying himself and impressing everyone at the table except for those who know he is a player that has left a line of heartbroken women. I was among those who dated him, I wasn't the only dating him at that time. Elliott and Christian gave Annabelle and her family a heads up about his playboy nature. It is best she know before she has her heartbroken. Brad has been exhibiting his paintings at a local studio and he has shown me photos of his work. It earns him part of his money and he is a financial advisor as well. He is apparently good at his job and he is one the most eligible bachelors in Seattle. He has made front pages for his abilities to know what to invest in and what not to invest in. He got tired of being given pity jobs for the poor blind man and created his own company. Of course he has hired only trustworthy employees and the disabled if they have the skills he needs. If they are willing to work hard and get the training he pays for it. We find him very interesting and of course he could model for GQ and has been asked to, but turned them down.

Annabelle
If I didn't know better I would think Mia has a thing for Brad. She knows quite a lot about him, that I have no clue about. We just met each other and I am clueless about him. Mia goes on and on about his many attributes and I realize that this is the guy who she dated and he broke her heart. This will be my only date with him. If I had known he dated Mia he would not be my date tonight. I decide to make the best of it and go our separate ways at the end of the night. Had I known he was the one who hurt her I would've never accepted him as a date. He did have all of us laughing even Mia. I suspect she was in love with him and still might be.

Ray
This guy might be blind and funny, but he's dating my daughter and I don't take that lightly. Even my sons dates I scrutinize as well. Lydia gets along with my children and has her own as well. She has a resemblance to Carla except she is taller than her by four inches. She said that Brad is trying to hard and that worries her. He likes being the center of attention.

Carrick
I know how badly this guy broke Mia's heart and he knew she would be here along with her whole family. His laughing and joking around is from being nervous about sitting with all of us. He might have been funny and had us laughing, but we know what is behind all that charm. Christian and Elliott want to tear him apart, they warned Annabelle about him when he went to relieve his bladder. I didn't miss his hitting on three young women during his time away from the table.

Lydia
I apparently am not the only one who noticed that Brad might have went to the mens room, but he enjoyed talking to several of the single young ladies that he encountered on his way back to our table. It looked like he got phone numbers as well. What man does that? Normally I would just think he was making contacts and he was but then when he checked something I couldn't help but notice that he used his blindness to get help from young ladies. I can't figure out how he might know the difference and then I saw that he also ran into an older woman who was wearing clothing too young for her age. I then knew for sure he was blind because he didn't realize until he shook her hand how old she was. I noticed a grimace come across his face. Mia laughed and said let's see how he gets away from mrs Lincoln. We all laughed because she likes younger men and we suspect she has a bunch of teen boys who will do anything she asks of them. We can't prove it or she would be behind bars at this stage. Her husband is out of town a lot, but he is no better.

Grace
Please don't invite Elena over to our table. Geez here they come and Christian is now ready to flee the table. She wants him to invest in that overpriced salon. He keeps turning her down for any meetings and has been very clear about his intentions about it.

Christian
Good Lord here she comes and I know she is going to try to set a meeting with me in person. I am going to just tell her point blank our plate is too full to invest in anything new at this point and there is no real profit in beauty salons.

Elliott
Let's see you get out of this mess. She is going to try to get the meeting you know.

Anastasia
Let me deal with it as your CFO. I evaluated her proposal she had sent over and her numbers don't add up. She told us one thing and her tax returns tell another story. She won't allow an audit. We don't do anything without an audit. A forensic audit at that. Her taxes say she's hemorrhaging money and her financial reports to us state she's making money left and right.

Elena
Brad guides me over to his table where Christian Grey is and I can get my meeting finally. I sit down next to him and basically push the midget next to further away from him. It was a bad move. It turns out she is his CFO who was the one who told him not to invest in my salons. I then realize Brad's date is her identical twin. Christian told me that he isn't interested and it is because his CFO has done all her homework and the profits aren't there for him to invest anything in my salons so why set a meeting. I glare at his CFO and ask how did she come to her conclusion. I also asked her if she really is a CPA because she doesn't look like one.

Anastasia
Oh I am not just a CPA, I am trained in Forensic auditing and you might be hearing from the IRS for an audit of your taxes, personal and business wise. I have looked at everything and I have advised mr Grey to pass on investing in any company you and your husband have.  Brad looks odd and I don't care how Elena feels about me.

Christian
I listen to my CFO on these kind of things and she has never steered me wrong. So Elena please stop harassing me, my employees, family and friends from this point on. I look at the desert and I start eating mine and look over at Elena and then Anastasia. I type a text thanking her for her help. She sends a smiley back and Yw.
