When we pulled up, Scott was laying on the side of the road next to his bike unconscious and Kira was no where was nowhere in sight. "Oh my God Scott!" I ran over to him, stiles and Lydia on my heels. I took his face in both hands and pat his face to get him to wake up. "Come on Scott, we need you to wake up. Scott!"

After a moment his eyes shoot open as he suddenly sits up with a gasp. The rest of us sigh in relief. "Barrow, he took Kira!"

He must've been laying there a while if he hadn't  gotten any of the 100 messages we sent on the way."Yeah, we know. He was after her the whole time." Stiles' voice was dripping with annoyance, as he dusts the dirt from his knees.

While the two of  them catch Scott up to speed, I took the chance to call Isaac. I sent Isaac over to Allison's for research. I figured two heads were better than one, I also figured that it'd distract him long enough not to worry.

"No, nothing." I hear the rustling of papers on his end of the call. "Just some more stuff about flies and the dead. Nothing else."

"All right, thanks." Quick goodbyes we're exchanged as I rejoined the group.

"We have to think of something. He's going to kill her." Was the first thing I hear from Scott once I come back.

"I knew he was there. How did I know that?" Lydia asks.

"Because you heard the flies, right?" Stiles offered. "What do you hear now?"

Lydia closes her eyes but reopens them a moment later. Disappointment and confusion are evident as she looks around. "Nothing. I feel like I can do this. But I don't know what to do. It's like it's on the tip of my tongue, and I don't know how to trigger it." She runs her hands through her hair in frustration. "I just-I swear to God, it literally makes me want to scream."

"Okay, then scream." Stiles suggests motioning us to move away from her. "Lydia, scream." Lydia quickly turns away and lets out one of her infamous screams into the abyss. I barely had enough time to cover my ears, but even then I could practically feel the blood vessels in my head getting ready to burst.

Once she stops, Lydia slowly turns back towards us with wide eyes. "It's not flies." She points up to the streetlight lamp we stood under that provided  the only light on our part of the street. "It's electricity."

"Wait a second, Barrow was an electrical engineer. He worked at a power substation." The gears began churning in Stiles' head.

"Which substation?"

By the time Stiles, Lydia, and I showed up to the substation, Scott and already ditched his bike and went inside. No back up, no nothing. Stiles scrambled out of the drivers side and helps me out the back before slamming the door of the running jeep shut. "Okay. Wait here, all right? Just wait for the cops to come." He tells Lydia through the rolled down window.

"Me? Wait, why?" She protests.

"I only got one bat."

"Stiles let's go!" I order threatening to enter the eerily dark substation without him. The two of us silently explored, following the echoing sound of barrows voice as he fantasized over people believing in 'children who can make their eyes glow'.

It went silent for a while but was immediately broken by Kira's warning. "Scott! No! Look out!" There was a surge of what sounds like sparks followed by Scott's cry of pain. At this point I couldn't hold back any longer. I took off running through the station leaving Stiles behind.

"Rowan wait!" He pleaded but he was already too far behind to do too much else.

"Don't She's not She's not the one you want." I can hear Scott grunt as I push my legs faster. I can make it! "No Don't!"

As I enter the room they were in I take a second to take in the scene. Scott was crumpled on the floor off in the corner in pain. Kira was sitting on the floor tied up, while barrow was crouched next to her with a rope filled with open, live, and sparking wires inches away from her face. He was going to shock her with them!

"Wait! Stop!" I was running towards them but it was too late. What seemed to be an electrical explosion over took the room. White was all I could see as the force of the explosion sent me barreling back the direction I came.

I could feel the electricity slash and burn my skin but it was nothing compared to the stutter of my heart at the sudden electrical disturbance. Thankfully it was able to find its normal rythme once again, and I could already feel some of the more minor injuries begin to heal.

As the smoke cleared, the whiteness of the electricity began drawing back towards something. As it pulled back I could see more of the room. Scott was still in place watching the scene unfold as well, and barrow laid unmoving, on the ground.

Eventually the electricity dissipated enough for us to see the source. It was Kira. The electricity was being drawn into her hands as if that's where it had been all along, and she seemed just as confused as we were.
