What do you do in the face of adversity and more that likely death? Well you go to to the one person who knows everything about everything, hints why we are back at Dr. Deaton's office. Going to the vet whenever et have a problem is starting to feel like an on going joke, as Isaac so kindly pointed out to me, but there's no one else we trust with this stuff.

Funny enough we're not here to talk about Scott or myself. We're actually here to talk about Stiles an his latest episode in our economics class. He claims that dreaming about the entire class doing the same sign language over and over again. But he was awake the whole time writing and rewriting 'WAKE UP' all over his paper. "It sounds like your subconscious is trying to communicate with you." Deaton concludes as we walk deeper into the exam room.

"Well, how do I tell my subconscious to use a language that I actually know?" Stiles scoffs.

"Do you remember what the sign language looked like? The placement and movement of the hands?"

"Since when do you know sign language?" I ask. I surpass the three of them to talk a seat on the exam table.

"I only know a little." He chuckled before returning his attention to the task at hand. "Let me give it a shot."

"Okay, the first one was like this." Stiles states as he begins to show us. He holds up his pointer finger with one hand and uses his other pointer finger to draw a circle around the top and the settles it on the top.

"That's 'when.'" Deaton identifies.

"Then there was this, twice." Stiles holds his hands out in front of him with the palms fading away. He then pulls one hand back towards him, then returns it to the others side.

"That's door."

"And this in between it." He takes his thumb and puts it under his chin and pulls forward, removing it.

"That's it?" Stiles nods. "'When is a door not a door?'" Deaton translates for the rest of us.

"'When is a door not a door?'"

Scott perks up and answers, "When it's ajar."

You're kidding me? "A riddle? That's what we're doing now?" I intrude.

"My subconscious wants to tell me a riddle?" Stiles asks him.

"Not necessarily. When the three of you went under the water, when you crossed from unconsciousness to a kind of super-consciousness You essentially opened a door in your minds." Deaton explains. See? Knows everything about everything.

"So what does that mean?" Scott questions. "The door's still open?"

"Ajar." He corrects.

"A door into our minds?" Stiles try's to digest everything being thrown at us at once.

"I did tell you it was risky."

It was my turn at ask a question and be somewhat helpful to the conversation. "Well what are we supposed to do about it now?"

"Well, that's difficult to answer." Deaton states furrowing his eyebrow, when in reality it's probably not that hard to answer, we're just not gonna like what he has to say.

"Oh, no, wait a second, I know that look." Stiles begins to fidget. "That's the 'we know exactly what's wrong with you, but we have no idea how to fix it' look."

"One thing I do know is that having an opening like that into your mind, it's not good. You each need to close that door. And you need to do it as soon as possible." If you had asked me what we were hopping to hear when we walked in here I wouldn't've known, but that definitely wasn't it. It is however a better plan than dying.
