Twen's POV

Liam and I headed down the stairs early this morning. After our conversation yesterday, he said that the only way he could help me find my father was if we told his father. It made me nervous telling the Alpha about Silvermore, but I knew deep down I could trust him. He'd proven himself to Silvermore when he decided to help me, so Silvermore trusted him, too.

Once on the first floor of the pack house, we headed towards the kitchen but then took a right and walked to the end of the hall. Liam had a lot of questions about Silvermore. I answered what I could but left many of his questions unanswered as neither I nor Silvermore knew the full extent of our abilities and history.

We stopped before the Alpha's office door, knocked, and waited to be invited in. We were immediately allowed inside, and we walked in. The Alpha sat at his desk, looking over some papers, while the Beta stood by his side. "Good morning, father…Uncle Rowan," said Liam as he bowed his head. I stared at him and did the same but without the 'good morning.' We walked over to the chairs in front of the desk and sat down.

He put the papers down and looked up at us. "...so…there must be something going on for you two to be here together."

"Yes, there is…What do you know about white werewolves, father?"

The Alpha stared at Liam and then shifted his eyes toward me; the Beta did the same. He turned to Liam again, "Just the stories everyone has heard since childhood…why do you ask?"

Liam sighed and told the Alpha and Beta everything I had told him. He talked about Silvermore, white werewolf abilities, how I escaped the bad place, Zero, and my father and his pack. He then asked the Alpha if he would help me find my father. The Alpha and Beta once again stared expressionless, without saying anything. At one point in the story, the Alpha had leaned on his right elbow with his thumb on his jaw and a finger on his lips.

The Alpha sighed, "Obviously, Twen has parents, so we were always going to look for them. If this woman was your mother, then I'm sorry for your loss…," he said as he turned to look at me. "...but you can't expect me to believe these tall tales."

"...but they're the truth," exclaimed Liam.

"I have no way of knowing that; believing it because you say it is true is unwise and unrealistic. I'm sorry, but I would need proof." I looked over at Liam, and I could tell he was bothered by his father's words. I, on the other hand, wasn't upset because, on our way here, Silvermore had said the Alpha wouldn't believe us.

"I agree with your father…," said the Beta. "... we'll be able to confirm his abilities eventually, but being able to talk to your wolf is…unheard of."

"Twen, I have a way of showing them."

"How?"

"Just trust me."

"What if I could prove it." Liam, the Alpha, and Beta all turned to look at me.

The Alpha cleared his throat and sat up straight in his chair. "If you could prove it, that is a different story."

I breathed out and nodded my head. I then closed my eyes per Silvermore's instructions.

Silvermore's POV

Okay, hopefully, this works.

I closed my eyes with Twen and pictured ourselves switching places. I accidentally came across this ability while Twen slept one night. Since then, I've been practicing, but have only successfully done it twice.

I noticed it's much easier to accomplish when we are emotional, so I looked through our most painful memory: Jamie's death. I felt a tear go down my cheek. I sighed, and I could hear a mixture of a growl. I smiled and opened my eyes; I had successfully switched places with Twen. I grabbed a picture frame from the Alpha's desk and looked at my reflection; I saw my eyes instead of Twens. I put it back and then looked at the Alpha. He wasn't surprised since they, too, can switch to their wolf eyes, but then I started talking.
