Greendale sat in his squad car speeding down the road with his sirens on. He had just revived a radio call that the White Faces had taken over the police station and reeked havoc on the city. He was also informed that McGee..was dead. As much as it hurt him that his best friend and trusted partner had died today he tried to block it out of his mind and focus.

"Dear God please just watch over the station, please protect my officers and give them strength and courage" he prayed, gripping the steering wheel tighter.

His phone rang. Melissa's contact information popped up on the screen. He slid the answer call button over and put the phone on speaker siting it on the dash board.

"Hello!" He yelled not used to using speaker phone.

"Dad, are you okay?" Melissa asked through the phone.

"Yeah I'm alright!" He yelled again "listen sweetie, now's not the best time"

"But I know what's happening in the city and at the station, I just wanted to make sure you were okay...have you seen Michael?" She asked.

He realized the seconds question was the only reason she called "no, I'm not even at the station yet, I'm just on my way"

"Oh...be careful" she said.

"I will, I've got to go now" Greendale waited a moment for her to respond.

"Bye, love you"

"Love you too sweetheart, bye" He ended the call and threw his phone back in the passengers seat. He turned onto the road that would take him into the city and up to the station. Flames and smoke were already visible on the horizon.

He drove through the streets of the city cringing at the sight of burning buildings and people running in terror. Finally he pulled up the the back of the station. The windows were broken and he could see White Faces members standing inside through the broken glass. Just as he was getting out someone grabbed his arm and pulled him to follow.

"Let go of me!" He screamed kicking and flailing his arms around trying to hit his white masked attacker.

They ignored him and pulled him to the front of the station and into the doors where five others gathered. Greendale saw his officers lined up behind the desk and McGee's limp body laying on the ground. His attacker held Greendale's arm into the air and the others cheered.

"John Greendale" one said stepping forward.

Greendale tightened his eye brows "Jay Slone" he said in a harsh tone.

"Surprised you know who I am!" He laughed and circled him menacingly "I've waiting a long time for this moment" he said teasing Greendale with his loaded gun.

"Have you now?" Greendale asked the grip on his arm getting tighter.

Jay laughed "yes, can you imagine what the world would be like without the famous John Greendale?" He asked not wanting an answer "it would be my world" he said wickedly, returning to face Greendale directly.

"That's not such a good thing Slone" Greendale chuckled.

"Lose your arrogant attitude! You've lost Greendale and there's nothing you can do about it!" Jay yelled becoming frustrated.

Greendale didn't flinch.

"Take him away and shoot him!" Jay instructed to the white masked man holding Greendale captive.

He obeyed and walked Greendale passed the police desk where he exchanged worried glances with his officers. He smiled trying to give them hope. His attacker pushed him into his office and locked the door behind him. Greendale stumbled into his office and ran into his desk. The picture of his family fell onto its glass side and shattered. Greendale stopped, he picked up the picture frame and freed the photograph from his broken glass cage.
