Greendale marched into his office and sat down in his chair with a thump making the picture frame on his desk rattle. He reached over and fixed it. His eyes lingered on the family photograph of him, his wife, and Melissa from a few years ago. He sighed and looked away.

McGee burst through the doors carrying a thick file folder labeled MGC "I've got it John!" He said excitedly "it's all right here in his files!" He dropped the papers on Greendale's desk.

"What's all in his files?" Greendale asked leaning forward.

"Our case to get him locked up for good, just like you wanted! All we have to do is take it to court and-"

"What's the point?" Greendale asked leaning back in his chair.

"Excuse me sir?"

"What's the point Bennett? Let's just leave the poor kid alone"

McGee stood in front of Greendale's desk dismayed "but it's all you've been trying to do for the past year" he finally spoke.

Greendale shook his head and rubbed his face "I know, it's tiring"

McGee picked the file folder up and tucked it under his arm "alright sir, is there anything else you need help with?" He asked.

"No McGee I'm good for now" he rested his head in his hands "carry on with your morning petrol"

"Yes sir" McGee replied before shutting the door.

Greendale stretched and started typing on his computer. He logged in information on criminals and sent orders to the other officers. He was so focused he almost missed a phone call.

"Chief Greendale" he said into the phone.

"Hello Chief Greendale, this is Wanda Watson the principle of Westmin high" the women on the other end said.

"Oh hello ma'am, is everything okay?" Greendale responded.

"Well I'm afraid not Mr. Greendale" she said sadly "your daughter Melissa was caught skipping classes with a boy today which you know is against school rules"

Greendale held his anger knowing who she was with.

"Which again you know that breaking a school rule results in suspension...I'm sorry to say Melissa has been suspended for three days, you'll have to come pick her up from my office" principle Watson said.

Greendale gripped his phone "yes ma'am, I'm on my way" he said before hanging up. Within a minuet he was out the door of the station and in his car.

"That girls in a hell of a lot of trouble" he said furiously gripping the steering wheel. He drove down the road trying not to go over the speed limit by anger. Finally he pulled up to the front of the school only to see Melissa sitting on Michael's lap gushing over how much she loves him.

"Melissa Jane Greendale get in this damn car right now!" He yell out the window "and quit making kissy faces with Mr. Badass"

Melissa walked over to the silver car where her father sat "stop embarrassing me" she said taking a seat on the passengers side.

Michael followed her and leaned in the window.

"Get your god damn arm off my car Clifford" Greendale spat.

"Okay okay" he lifted his hands in the air "shoot me" he joked.

"Too bad I left my gun in the office" Greendale laughed.

"Bye babe" Michael smiled.

"Bye" Melissa frowned knowing she did the wrong thing.

"you're in a lot of trouble missy"

"Greendale you'll have to get used to me, I'll be around" Michael said stepping back from the car. He put his hands in his leather jacket and shuffled his black combat boots on the ground.

"I hate that kid" Greendale said pulling out of the parking lot "Melissa why?" He asked.

She looked down at her hands knowing he father was disappointed in her.

"You could've dated a kindergartner for all I care, just not him"

"He means well.." She trailed off.

"He means well? Sweetheart look at what happened, you're suspended! It's on your school record! Colleges will see that!" Greendale said looking back and forth from the road to his daughter.

"Michael said it doesn't matter if you go to college or not-"

"Of course he did! He's as dumb as a door nail!"

"Don't say that!" She yelled back.

The rest of the car ride was silent. Greendale dropped Melissa off at their house and returned to the police station. He turned the radio on and listened to the different channels of commercials. He prayed silently that Michael wasn't back at his house with Melissa but he knew he would be.
