Chapter 13

Joohyun's POV

I was in the reception area, checking some files as I made my way to my office when SeokJin approached me with a terrified yet nervous look.

"Dr. Kim?", I said.
"Umm.. Joohyun sunbae, may I privately have a word with you?", he asked me.
"Sure but.. please just freely call me by my name! Anyways.. what is it?", I asked him.
"Noona.. it's about the killer behind the death of Jimin's father and Seulgi's father! I already know who he is!", he said.
"Re—really? Who is he?", I asked him.
"It's (.....)..", he said as I couldn't help but cover my mouth in shock.

So it was him all this time?! I can't believe he had been betraying Jimin and his family for so many years, and that he had been making Seulgi's father and his family pay for something he didn't even do! I thought to myself.

"No way! He can't do that—", I said but he immediately cut him off.
"No noona! It's true, because yesterday, while I was checking some files before leaving for work, I suddenly heard a muffled voice of a person, talking to someone on the phone inside the prohibited area, and knowing that I can't trespass that area, I immediately listened to their conversation behind the door, and that's where I also found out that he killed Seulgi's father through lethal injection, that's why something went wrong with his recovery process.", he said.
"Are you planning to tell Jimin about this?", I asked him.
"I can't noona, most especially since I do not have solid evidence to prove it to him.", he said.
"Am I the only one who knows about this secret?", I asked him.
"No! Yoongi and Namjoon also know about this info.", he said.
"Alright! We have to be careful now, and we shouldn't look too obvious whenever we meet him or else he might either think that we're suspecting him or we already know that he's the real killer!", I told him.
"I'll just tell you if there are any updates, noona! I have to go now.", he said.
"Alright!", I said as I walked away.

Jimin's POV

Now that I'm inside my office, I was just busily fixing some charts of my patients when someone suddenly knocked on the door.

"That's strange! I'm about to work already and yet someone has the guts to disturb me?", I said.
"Don't worry hyung, I'll just tell them that you're unavailable as of now!", my medical assistant, Wooyoung told me.
"Alright. Thanks!", I said.

Even if he opened the door just now, I immediately noticed that nobody was outside the door. Why would they randomly knock and run away?! This is not the right time to play pranks on somebody, especially if they're in the middle of work! I thought to myself as I rolled my eyes in frustration.

"Hyung, I didn't see anyone outside but I found this infront of the door.", Wooyoung told me as he handed me a brown envelope.
"Huh? To whom did this came from?", I asked him.
"I don't know, hyung. There's no name written on it.", he said.

I immediately closed the door by sliding it as I immediately opened the envelope, but then, the only thing I pulled from the envelope was a letter that sounded like a warning.

You want to know who killed your father?! It's P.HB! He's also the one who killed Seulgi's father!

Atleast I already have a clue but they didn't even write the name of the killer! I thought to myself as I couldn't help but get suspicious yet scared.
