months later..

Author's POV

It was a cloudy Thursday today! Seulgi was just finishing eating breakfast she goes to work when her phone suddenly started ringing, indicating that she's now receiving a call from someone. Oh! It's mom! She thought to herself as she immediately answered the call.

"Mom?", she said.
"Hi darling! How are you doing?", her mom asked her.
"I'm doing just fine! I'm about to go to work now, I just only need to eat breakfast!", Seulgi told her mom.
"Oh, I see! I have good news for you!", her mom said.
"Really? What is it?", Seulgi asked.
"I'm already returning home!", her mom said.
"Really?! When?", Seulgi said as she gasped excitedly.
"This Saturday! Wait for me darling, ok?", her mom told her.
"Of course I will, mom! Don't worry, I promise you that I'll cook you your favorite dish the moment you get home!", she told her mom.
"Really?! Alright then! I'll look forward to it, Seul!", she said.
"Thanks mom! By the way, I have to go now! I'm about to leave already!", Seulgi said.
"I see! See you on Saturday, Seul!", her mom said.
"You too, mom! I've missed you so much!", Seulgi said.
"I missed you too! See you, darling!", she said as she ended the call.

Finally! My mom's finally coming back, and I'm finally leaving this place that left me nothing but horrible and terrible memories! Seulgi thought to herself, referring to Jimin's house.

"Who was that?", Jimin asked her as he entered the dining room.
"My mom. Why do you care?", she said coldly.
"Nothing! I just want to know.", he said nervously.

Seulgi's POV

After taking a shower, I immediately grabbed a casual dress inside the closet as I immediately started dressing up. After wearing the dress, I immediately tried to reach for the zipper so I could fully zip the dress, but then, it only reached 'til the middle part. I did everything I can to zip it all the way up 'til I slightly flinched when a cold yet soft hand held the pin as it zipped all the way up. Why am I blushing when he just helped me zip my dress? I thought to myself as I couldn't help but notice how my cheeks were tainted with a slight pink color.

"Thanks..", I said as I turned to Jimin.
"You're welcome! I see that you had a hard time zipping up your dress. Anyways.. Is your bag ready?", he said.
"Yeah..", I told him when he suddenly turned his attention to my necklace that's hidden underneath the clothing of my dress.
"Is that your necklace?", he asked me.
"Umm.. y—yeah? Why?", I asked him nervously.
"What does it look like? Can I see?", he asked me.
"Why do you care?", I coldly asked him.

I'm sorry Jimin but... I will never let you find out the truth that we're childhood friends. I'm not going to risk my life just so you could continuously hurt me! I thought to myself.

"Nevermind about that. Who gave it to you though?", he asked.
"A gift from an old friend of mine...", I said.
"I see...", he said.
"Are you still going to ask me more questions?", I coldly asked him.
"Umm... no! Are you ready to go?", he asked me.
"Yeah..", I said.

I immediately grabbed my bag with me as Jimin and I went downstairs together. The moment Jimin and I hopped in inside his car, we immediately buckled our seatbelts as he immediately started driving away to got to the hospital.

"What did you and your mom talk about, by the way?", Jimin suddenly asked me.
"Huh? Umm.. she just said that she's already going back home this Saturday.", I said.
"Really?", he said.
"Yeah! Is it ok if you can help be bring home my things later the moment we get home?", I asked him.
"Yeah sure! I'll help you drop your things off later at your house.", he told me.
"Thank you!", I said.
"I know that starting from Saturday, I will no longer be there for you when it comes to your overall safety but.. please promise me that you'll keep your mom and yourself safe from whoever is trying to put you in danger!", he told me with a hint of concern from his voice.
"I will! Atleast I'm now free from the place that only left me with nothing but horrible memories, and from you, because you'll no longer have the permission to hurt me whenever you want!", I said out of nowhere.
