Chapter 30

Jimin's POV

After coming from the reception area, I immediately went back inside Seulgi's hospital room before I proceed with work.

"Hi auntie! Where's Seulgi?", I asked my aunt the moment I entered Seulgi's hospital room.
"Oh! She already started with her therapy session. Why?", she asked me.
"I see! I just want to know.. and by the way, who's with her?", I asked.
"Your mom and a nurse came with her today.", she said.

If my mom wasn't there for her right now, she would've stayed here longer 'til she's ready to be discharged. I thought to myself as I couldn't help but feel thankful to my mom.

"I see! By the way, I have to go now! Please take care of Seulgi while I'm gone!", I said.
"Don't worry, I will!", she told me with reassurance.
"Thanks auntie!", I said.

I immediately left the hospital room as I immediately went ahead to go to my clinic. I was about to go in my clinic when Seulgi's cousin approached me.

"Dr. Park, wait!", Hyunggu said as I stopped and turned my attention to him.
"Yes, Dr. Kang?", I asked him.
"Umm.. how's Seulgi noona?", he asked me.
"Oh! She's doing fine! She's currently in her therapy session now.", I told him.
"I see! On my behalf, please tell your mom 'thank you' for taking care of her!", he told me.
"I will, don't worry! By the way, I need to go now! I'll see you when I see you, Dr. Kang!", I told him with reassurance.

After talking to her cousin, I immediately went inside my clinic and proceeded with work.

Seulgi's POV

After my therapy session ended, I immediately went back to my hospital room with Jimin's mom to rest and to eat some meals.

"Thanks for accompanying me earlier, auntie!", I told Jimin's mom.
"Anything for you, darling! Just remember that if you need something, just call me or any of the nurses through this red button.", she told me with reassurance.
"I will! Thanks auntie!", I said.
"By the way, just by observing your arm movement earlier, I suggest that you're still required to wear the cast after discharge, because I noticed that there's still a bit of pain present at the back of your arm, but so far so good, I can tell that it's bearable for you.", she told me.
"So.. does that mean that I'll also wear a cast even if I'm already allowed to go back to work?", I asked.
"Yes, but don't worry! Even if you're discharged and even if you're back to work, we'll continue to perform therapy sessions for your arm so that, we'll be able to determine if we're allowed to remove the cast from your arm.", she said.
"But.. what if my arm is already ok after getting discharged and even if before I go back to work?", I asked.
"Well that'll be good news but.. I advise you to continue taking your medications daily.", she said.
"Alright..", I said.
"And good news.. you're allowed to be discharged from the hospital a day after tomorrow, and I advise you to eat healthy meals, drink lots of water, and continue drinking your medications.", she told me.
"I will! Thanks auntie!", I said.
"You're welcome, darling! Eat your meals now, for you to gain energy and strength.", she said.
"Thanks auntie!", I said as she left the room.

And while I continued to eat the creamy soup that the hospital cafeteria staff gave me, Jimin's aunt immediately approached me.

"Dr. Kang.. how are you doing?", she asked me.
"I'm doing great, Mrs. Park! I couldn't wait to go home!", I said.
"I'm really for what my husband made you and your family go through. All this time, I thought it's someone from your family that killed my brother-in-law, but it turns out.. it was someone from my family that killed my brother-in-law and your father.", she said.
"You don't need to apologize to me, Mrs. Park! You and your family members were just a victim just like my family and I. I know it's a cruel thing for me to say but.. the only thing that I want to say is for your husband to pay for his crimes in jail.", I said.
"Thank you so much, Dr. Kang!", she said.
"Just call me Seulgi, Mrs. Park!", I told her with reassurance.
"Oh, alright! By the way.. how are you and Jimin doing?", she worriedly asked me.
"I still don't want to talk to him!", I said as I diverted my gaze away from her.
"Seulgi—", she said but I immediately cut her off.
"I'm scared! I'm scared that if I gave him another chance, it's like I also gave him another opportunity to hurt me again..", I said.
"Seulgi, your feelings are valid but.. maybe when the right time comes, I hope you'll find the courage and strength to forgive him..", she told me with a reassuring smile.
