Chapter 27

Jimin's POV

It was a Saturday today, so we're all free to look after and to take care of Seulgi today. Some of my friends went out to buy something to eat for lunch, and it was only me, Joohyun noona, Taehyung, and Jungkook, left inside Seulgi's hospital room to check on her.

"How are you guys doing recently?", Jungkook asked us.
"It's kinda getting hectic, but it's manageable!", Taehyung said.
"Jimin, does Seulgi have a patient, that's temporarily administered to you?", Joohyun noona asked me.
"Not yet. Why?", I asked her.
"Because due to her current situation, some of her patients are currently administered to us for a while.", she said.
"Yeah! It was actually hard for us to explain what really happened to her to her patients, most especially since they're just kids and they can't understand what's happening.", Taehyung said.
"As doctors that are from the same department as Seulgi, I hope you'll do everything you can to take care of her patients 'til she wakes up!", I told them.
"We will! We promised each other yesterday that we will take care of her patients while she's unavailable, because we didn't want to disappoint her that we didn't fulfill our duties to take care of her patients.", Joohyun noona said.

And while we're talking, our friends finally came back with bags of food clasped in their hands.

"Food is here!", SeokJin hyung said.
"Finally!", Jungkook said in relief.
"Dig in, guys!", Namjoon hyung said.

Author's POV

And as they continued to eat lunch, they just continued to laugh and talk together like friends in school before their hectic journey as doctors started, and through this bonding, they immediately became closer to one another as a family.

"It's nice that we're all talking and laughing like this like high school students!", Joohyun said.
"I know, instead of fighting like cats and dogs!", SeokJin said.
"It's been a while since the last time I ate this kind of food! I couldn't really find time to eat or even buy this because of my hectic schedules.", Jungkook said.
"Speaking of hectic schedules, to those that are still in their residency years, how's life as a resident doctor?", Seungwan asked Yerim and Jungkook.
"It's hectic since we couldn't find time to balance medicine and life outside work.", Yerim said.
"It's also manageable, because we also have the chance to work less and to rest more.", Jungkook said.
"That's normal! As someone who recently just graduated from residency, it'll all feel rewarding and worth it after you end your residency!", Sooyoung told them.

And while they're talking, the doctor suddenly came inside as they all stopped talking and turned their attention to the doctor. I hope it's good news! Jimin nervously thought to himself.

"Hi Doc! Good morning!", Jimin said.
"Good morning to all of you! I'm here to tell you about the current health status of Dr. Kang Seulgi! So far, we could gladly say that that her overall health status is going back to its normal state, and according to our observations recently, her fingers are continuously moving but she isn't really awake! For some instances like this, it's a sign that a comatosed patient is about to wake up soon, so you need to keep an eye on her at all times.", the doctor told them.
"Doc, when will she exactly wake up?", Joohyun asked.
"We can't really tell when, because she can wake up at any time, day or maybe sooner or later, so that's why, someone needs to keep an eye on her always, so that if ever she wakes up, we can immediately perform a check up on her so we could tell if she's already fit for the therapy session for the improvement of her arm movement and when she's already allowed to be discharged from the hospital.", the doctor said.
"I see! Thanks Doc for the info!", Seungwan said.
"You're welcome, Dr. Son! That's all for today, and thanks for your time!", the doctor said as he bowed and left the room.
