The next day was Harry's birthday. And Luella was feeling sad. She had no idea where he was and when he was coming back.
Well, that was until there was a knock at the door whilst she was cleaning the kitchen. Her mother still wasn't back yet.
Taking off her rubber gloves and putting them on the counter, Luella walked towards the door and looked through the peephole. There she saw Harry and a very tall man. But upon seeing Harry, she quickly unlocked the door, opened it and excitedly threw herself at Harry, hugging him tightly.
"Harry! You're here!"
Harry hugged back immediately and chuckled as he rubbed her back. They were in each others embrace for a solid minute until Luella pulled back and rapidly asked questions whilst searching for any injuries.
"Are you okay? Where did you and tbe Dursley's go? Did you get your Hogwarts letter? Who's this?"
Harry laughed and began to explain.
"I'm alright, Lulu, The Dursley's took us to an abandoned hut on a rock in the middle of the sea because we got overloaded with Hogwarts Acceptance Letters since every time we would get one, Vernon would rip them up or set them on fire. And this is Rubeus Hagrid. He's the Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts. He came and got me last night, he gave us all a fright. But he also gave me a cake and my letter. Unfortunately, Dudley ate the cake."
Luella sighed in relief that he was okay, but got excited again when he mentioned that he got his acceptance letter. She squealed and stated.
"I got my letter too. Mother says I can't go, but I'm obviously going. Especially since you're going too."
Harry smiled, but frowned a little when she said that her mother wasn't allowing her to go. He looked at her cheek and only just noticed that there was a little cut. But before he could ask her what happened, Luella introduced herself to Hagrid.
"Hello, Hagrid. Sorry for ignoring you. I was just so excited to see Harry and was relieved to hear that he was okay. I was quite worried for him when I heard that he wasn't in the house. My name is Luella Knight, I'm Harry's best friend."
Hagrid looked down at the blonde girl and smiled at her. She had two little pink bows in her hair and she wore the brightest smile on her face. He then realized that he knew the last name from somewhere.
"Hello, Luella. You wouldn't be the daughter of Robert Knight, would you?"
Luella smiled sadly and replied back.
"I am."
Hagrid didn't notice her solemn tone as he asked happily, also not noticing that Harry had grabbed her hand and was holding it for comfort.
"Ah, wonderful. How is he?"
Luella cleared her throat awkwardly and announced.
"He's dead."
Hagrid's mouth dropped and his eyes widened. He then adjusted his stance and cleared his throat before apologising.
"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that. May I ask when did he die? No one was told."
Harry gave her hand a soft squeeze and Luella replied back, holding in tears.
"He died seven years ago. He was hit by a car whilst crossing the road, on the way to pick me and Harry up from school."
Luella swallowed back the burning ball of fire after she was reminded of the moment she saw her father getting hit by a car that was coming at him full speed. She blinked away the traumatising memory and Hagrid gasped in shock, he wasn't expecting it. He apologised again.
