Reid POV:
It's been weeks being on this island and I don't think I've ever been this happy.
My days are usually spent hunting down animals or people but here I'm just me.
For a long time I didn't know who I was all I knew was that I went by the name Detective or Ghost but now I'm finding out things about myself that I would have never found out. Like there's this animated movie series I love called How to Train Your Dragon or a Dragon I'm not sure but so far so cool.
Walking into my room I find Cole pacing up and down
"You signed the deal for how much," he says frustratedly. He stops mid-step covers his mouth and silently screams. He composes himself and huffs
"Who exactly decided on that because last time I checked- you know what set up a Zoom meeting for tomorrow same time as today and make sure all the directors are on," he says blowing out a breath
"Yes yes I get it but it can't happen again," he says pacing
"Yes okay no need to cry," he says a lot softer now
"Okay," he says and then hangs up. He blows out a breath and then sits down on my bed well ours in this case since we've all been sharing it lately
"Everything okay" I ask shutting the door and going to my closet to grab a shirt
"My assistant and COO closed a deal worth 900 million for 450 million," he says lying down. He pockets his phone and runs a hand through his hair
"I could compensate you for that," I say taking off my shirt
"What- I don't need the money it's just frustrating. How could they possibly sign a deal on a price so low" he says and I chuckle
"You know I could send someone to fill in for you" I offer for the hundred time. Putting on my shirt I turn to face him
"No," he says and I shrug
"Well sort yourself I've got to go," I say, and then my phone rings. Taking it out of my pocket I look at the caller ID. Answering I place it by my ear only to hear Val talking to someone
"This is my favorite," Val says softly
"Why do you have two boyfriends" a little girl asked her. Val chuckled and I waited patiently for her answer
"They're both very special to me" she answers making the little girl giggle. There are sounds of toys crashing together in the background
"Is it like having two pets?" the little girl asked out of the blue
"What why would you think that" Val asked chuckling. She then reprimands a little boy for playing rough with his toys
"They both follow you around like how my fish follow my fingy when I drag it along the fish tank," the little girl says and then everything goes quiet
"Well uhm then maybe I don't know," she says awkwardly. I know that she just tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear
"Val" I call out maybe she forgot she called me or maybe she doesn't know she called me
"What oh shoot I'm sorry did I call you I didn't mean to" she rushes out then hangs up
"What the hell was that about" Cole asked and I looked away from my screen to face him
"Uhm I don't know" I stated confused with a smile on my face. Pocketing my phone I make my way to the door only for him to stop me
"Everything we need to go see my mom is ready right," he asked and I nodded. He continues to look at me as if he wants to say something
