Cole POV:

Looking at the list of names of all the clients whose privacy was leaked due to a hack in our last shipment of the Milly bot has me over the edge

Shit like this has never happened before and now all of a sudden it happens during the best week of my life

Iris wants to get married. All we need is her parent's blessing. She's even talking about starting a family. She's glowing and I love every minute of it.

I'm finally branching out and opening another office in Michigan. We found the perfect spot. Iris is excited about designing the building. Reid and I are working on the security and now this fucking happens. Grabbing the list I scrunch it up and toss it off my desk

I texted Iris and Reid a while ago that I would be late tonight but the more I sit here with all the complaints and the talk of being sued I think I might not be going home at all tonight. I need to stay behind with the rest of the team and sort this shit out before it starts going on all the tabloids

"Sir Mr. Pou is on the line for you" my assistant called out from the other side of the door

Groaning I take off my glasses using my fingers to rub the sides of my head.

Loosening my tie I lean back into my chair placing the tie on the pile of papers in front of me. Blowing out a breathe I pressed answer allowing Mr. Pou to get through to me

"Mr. Pou, how can I help you" I spoke as professionally as possible even though I felt mentally drained

"Mr. Rivers I've been getting death threats from parents claiming I created the Milly bot to spy on kids for my pleasure. I-" he starts and I cut him before he can go any further

"Mr. Pou I'm going to have to stop you there. My team of lawyers and the FBI are working side by side trying their best to put an end to this. All I can advise you to do while you wait is turn off all your mobile devices and just go off the grid for a couple of days while we sort this out" I said. The call goes quiet and then I hear him blow out a breath

"Okay will do sorry for calling," he said and then hung up at the same time a notification popped up on my phone. Peering at it I look to see it's a message from Reid. Squinting my eyes a faint smile spreads on my face

I'm coming up

I read the message at the same time I hear his voice greeting Kaitlyn

The door opens and he walks in looking around the office and then at me

"Are you good?" he asked with concern on his face. My office is a mess something I'm not proud of right now but I don't want them to worry about me. He shrugged off his leather jacket dropping it onto the couch.

"Yeah just a little mishap" I sighed looking back at the pieces of paper trying to mask my stress only to find I couldn't properly see the words

"You're not wearing your glasses so I'm pretty sure you can't see a word unless you got a pair of new eyes without my knowledge," he said coming towards me. He sat on one of the chairs in front of me with his arms crossed

"I'm not completely blind you know that right" I said looking away from the paperwork to look at him even though I could only see a blurry image I squinted my eyes to see his facial expressions

"Prove it" A beat of silence passes between us and I scoff trying to dissipate the tension those words created in the air

"What are you doing here, Reid" I asked leaning back into my chair and folding my arms trying my best to act unaffected. I always feel the need to please and do as they say when it comes to them. It's easy with Iris but with Reid he makes my blood boil
