Reid POV:

I really didn't want to come down here to see Cole but something compelled me to. But finding them both here and standing so close together has an ache tugging at my chest but I ignore it reminding myself I'm here for work

"Cuba," he asked looking confused and I nodded

"Look Reid I'm not in the mood for your games right now this isn't funny your talking about a dead woman whose body is currently missing" he practically barks and Iris tries to calm him down

"I didn't come here to cause trouble I just wanted to let you know," I say getting ready to leave

"And how the hell would you know" he hisses

"I was hired to kill the killer of your mom and then I started doing some digging and found that she's had some funds sent to an offshore account in Cuba that's linked to Andre Degaldo. Did some more digging and the funds were for an apartment" I say and Iris gasp I continue to walk toward the elevator and he stops me

"Wait," he says and then I stop

"If what your saying is true then why aren't you taking this to the police," he says and I let a smile slip luckily his only facing my back

"I'm the man law enforcement calls when things are a little too tricky for them to solve," I say pressing the elevator button. The doors open and then I walk in turning to face them

"Besides the Sheriffs dead who was I going to tell," I say and then I grin when the doors close

Walking out of the building with ease I reach the underground parking and stalk toward my bike

"Wait just fucking wait" I hear Cole huff behind me. Continuing to walk to my bike I climb on. He jogs towards me and stops in front of the bike. Val jogs right after and I sigh at the two of them

"What is it," I ask putting on my gloves. He frustratedly runs a hand through his hair. I look at Val to find her garter belt slightly showing. She senses me looking there and then slowly starts putting her skirt down.

"Things aren't ending up," he says and I nod. That's exactly what I thought of myself when I figured everything out. I'm glad I figured that she was alive quicker than expected because if I hadn't I would have gone on a wild goose chase looking for a man named Ezekiel who doesn't exist. After all, his actual name is Gary. Which is strange because my sources are never wrong

"There's a lot you don't know and a lot you'll never know but the best I can give you right now is the little information I told you," I say and he growls

"No no you don't get to show up here and then tell me my mother is alive and then just leave," he says

"Watch me," I say pressing down my paddle and making the engine rumble with a beastly sound. God, I love this beauty

"What the fuck Reid stop it," Val says and I snap my direction to her with a sigh I shut my engine off

"What exactly do you want from me" I say

"Some answers please I know you didn't come all this way to just tell us she's alive and then leave as quick as you came," she says. She truly is still as beautiful as I remember I mean it's only been a couple of days but she'll always captivate me

"Okay fine but I don't trust telling you in public so the best I can do is if you guys are done with work you can follow me to my house," I say putting on my helmet

"Okay," Cole says

"Wait no 2hours is too long of a drive I haven't even eaten but I live 13 minutes from here you can come to my place," she says and then walks away giving no room for debate. Cole and I look at each other and then at her
