After a flight of a little more than 13 hours, including a rest considerably longer than the one I had often, finally the private plane landed on a part of the United States that for the moment they didn't reveal to me.

- What time is it? - I asked after yawning, with my backpack on my shoulder.

-9:15 in the morning- Diana responded somewhat tired and immediately the airplane door opened.

I then found myself in the morning sun, just outside a hangar at a private and extremely modern airport.

There a black car and an impeccably suited man were waiting for us. Then my luggage was put in the trunk and after urging me to get in, only Diana got in next to me.

-Let's go- she told the driver.

The car drove down a lonely road, on which trees soon appeared on each side, while the slope increased a little.

- Where we are? - I asked.

- Near the border between the state of California and Nevada - Diana responded seriously, then looked up at the rearview mirror, where she met the driver's serious gaze.

As we stopped there for a moment, the car's speakers activated.

- Enter security code.

The driver entered a 5-digit code on the screen in the center of the panel, and then the doors made an electric sound, followed by their silent movement to the sides. Then the car entered a two-way street surrounded by tall bright green bushes.

A part of me felt like I was now a prisoner, but I tried to keep that thought in the back of my mind, because now my eyes were capturing every detail of the short road, which after a curve revealed something that, to be honest, was quite unexpected.

Every direction I looked there was green grass, leafy trees and wildflowers here and there. It was open and beautiful, and when the car stopped and I finally got out, I saw what the destination was: In the middle of a wide meadow surrounded by tall trees, there were seven houses, each with two floors. All with straight lines, made from a minimalist mix of raw concrete and warm-toned wood. All in a semicircle with their main entrances and small front yards pointing towards the street, and the round square below, with a kind of spatial monument in it.
