– Well, let's recap – said Diana speaking to the 14 representatives accommodated in the jet – Before the live interview, a video about the Alliance will be broadcast, you will talk first with the scientists, and then during the break they will play the video where each of you talk about themselves. Once that is over, you guys enter the scene for the interview, which will last approximately 30 minutes.
Briar suddenly raised his hand.
– Yes, Briar?
– Can we post stories from the trip and backstage?
– Photos on the jet, yes; backstage photos, also yes. But for security reasons anything about landscapes and the interview location is prohibited, to avoid being located. – Diana explained – And only for today you will be able to post in real time. At any other time, without my direct authorization, the content will NEVER be uploaded at the time it occurs, unless you want to be followed everywhere. Any other questions?
– What about scientists? – Denu asked – They won't come with us?
– The scientists will have a tour separate from you, so for practical purposes only you, the 7 couples, will take turns for the interviews.
After the last instructions, the rest of the flight was uneventful, and upon arriving at our destination, a dark gray van took us from the airport, and most of us slept on the way.
As Diana had explained on the jet, instead of conducting the first of the interviews in a place with an audience, they had decided that, for security reasons, it would be broadcast live from a room in a secure location.
That chosen place was this time a futuristic hotel, recently built in the rural area of New York State.
There, as in the big ceremony, they prepared and styled us, but unlike this one, they also took some photographs of us as individual couples. So once everyone was ready with the photographs, and the eventual retouching of hair and makeup, they guided us to the room where the interview would be, since there were still a few minutes left.
– I still can't believe it – Jin said, somewhat annoyed, arranging some of her pink bangs.
– They married us live, for the whole world, what did you expect? – I said.
– I didn't think they were also going to force us to live together. No offense, Kyle – Jin added.
– No problem – said the blonde, fixing a button on his shirt that had suddenly opened, and then looked at us – Are all humans liars like that? No offense, Jin.
– Not all – Jasper stated next to me – but I thought that at least someone from the Circelian delegation would stop him.
– They wouldn't have been able to. Apparently it was a last minute change – I said trying to untangle a strand of hair from the back of the necklace I was wearing. The group stared at my response, and before anyone could reply, Jasper suddenly put his hands near my neck, and he gently finished the task for me.
