Being one of Winter's closest friends, comes with many benefits. She was undeniably fun, always inviting you out as a plus one to her parties, her wealth was also a bonus as she would gift you generously when any sort of event that involved gift giving arrived (not that you used her for her wealth). However, it was the endless connections of idol friends she had that made you the most excited about being one of Winter's closest friend.
You were fortunate enough to befriend Winter on the first day of middle school. The entire cohort was tasked to partner up with someone to make the school tour easier. Thanks to your introverted personality, by the time you were mentally ready to approach people, everyone had already partnered up, leaving you in the middle of the room standing awkwardly.
"Attention everyone, please raise your hands if you still have not found a partner!" The teacher yelled, gaining everyone's attention. The whole cohort quieted down making you contemplate whether or not to even raise your hands, you did not like how the attention would all be on you.
You eventually took a deep breath and accepted that you needed to step out of your comfort zone, before finally timidly raising your hand. However to your surprise, another person also raised their hands on the other side of the room.
"Alright, that's perfect! You guys can pair up then. Please introduce yourself to each other after." The teacher smiled, directing the both of you to each other.
After the discussion, you found everyone leaving, to which you assumed they were beginning their tour with their partner.
'How am I supposed to find my partner? I didn't even get to see their face...' You mumbled to yourself. You were about to approach the teacher again when you felt a gentle tap on your shoulder.
"U-umm, I think you were my partner since we both didn't find anyone in time." You turned your head back to find a beautiful girl, which shocked you. You were half expecting to be paired up with a 'loser'.
"O-oh y-yeah, I'm (Y/N), nice to meet you." You put on your most charming smile and offered a handshake to which she gladly returned.
"Hi (Y/N), I'm Minjeong, but you can just call me Winter. I'm glad they paired me up with someone that actually talks." She joked, before giggling and shyly covering her mouth. You found the gesture cute and laughed along with her.
"Hey, whats that supposed to mean? Do I look like that much of a loser to you?" You joked back.
"No, I was expecting to be paired up with someone weird, because I assumed there's gotta be a reason to why no one wanted to pair up with this person."
"I'm just introverted. Maybe you are the weird one. That's why you didn't find a partner." You teased, resulting in her hitting you on the arm softly.
"Y-ya! You are already so mean to me. I-I'm also introverted like you" She pouted, which made you laugh at her.
