Chapter 10: The Sea Of Monsters

Percy controlled the boat with water manipulation with no idea where he was going but he knew he was moving somewhere.

After the gruesome scene of him trying to remove a bullet from his waist was engraved into Annabeth, Clarisse, Tyson and Nyx who hid in his shadow heads the boat had been silent, no one said a word, Tyson didn't know what to say, Clarisse blamed herself for not being able to help, Annabeth blamed herself for being the cause while Nyx blamed herself for interrupting his attention.

"Can all of you stop staring at me like some kind of weakling?"

Percy finally decided to talk, the wound didn't even leave a scar, the only thing was he destroyed his shirt as was currently shirtless but apart from that he was at peak health

"All of you."

Percy looked at the sky with the last statement.

"Fine, Beating myself up wouldn't change the fact it was my fault."

Annabeth sighed and went to hug him apologizing in a low tone.

"It was my choice, I took the bullet I will heal, you... Won't "

Percy reminded her she didn't have an enhanced healing factor like him.

"Tyson, Clarisse don't blame yourself there was nothing you could do."

Tyson nodded while Clarisse joined him in the hug.

"Hey, a shark."

Tyson suddenly called pointing at a couple of sharp rock-like things moving around in the water.

"Those aren't sharks."

Annabeth corrected when the sharks multiplied

"Shit, we're in the sea of monsters"

Clarisse hugged Percy tighter.

Percy tried to steer them out of the sharp objects which he guessed were the teeth of a giant sea monster, Instead, he couldn't do anything since the water wasn't responding to his command.

"The sea of monsters might be outside Poseidon's domain."

A current of water was slowly pulling them towards the middle without Percy being able to do anything but try and keep them together

"Come on!."

At some point, Percy could feel the water responding to his command but it was too late, they had already been swallowed into the belly of the beast.

"I should have used Ice instead."

Percy frowned when he saw the new area, the belly of the beast, There were other boats with enough water for the boat to move along with other animals swimming inside the water.

"We're in it's belly."

Annabeth cringed Percy had left her and Clarisse together so he could scout the area.

Clarisse rolled her eyes "This is the belly? I thought it was my room, Ms Obvious."

"Haha, we all know this can't be your room, this place is actually nicer."

"You!-"

"Break it up, We don't have the time to argue."

Percy stepped between the two girls, wondering how the two of them had time to fight when they were about to get digested.

"This is going to be tough."

Percy frowned in the belly of an unknown monster where his control of water was not as powerful as it normally should be, But the reason it was tough was that he wasn't alone, By himself, he could escape easily but with 3 other people to worry about it became a problem.
