Chapter 23:  Where is she?

"How many monsters?"

Thalia wondered; finding two demigods at once was rare, with their luck, She wouldn't be surprised if they had 3 monsters sniffing them out.

"One." Grover looked nervous. "He suspects. I don't think he's positive yet, but this is the last day of term. I'm sure he won't let them leave campus without finding out. It may be our last chance! Every time I try to get close to them, he's always there, blocking me. I don't know what to do!"

"Who?" Percy raised an eyebrow,

"Dr Thorn, the vice principal You already met him."

Grover revealed, His eyes darting to where Dr Thorn stood before looking back at Percy.

"So these demigods are at the dance right?"

Thalia asked Grover who nodded warily.

"Let's dance."

Percy declared as Grover led them to the dance.

'I hate military schools'

Percy looked around; It felt like they tried to overdo it; he didn't blame them since the military was strict; they often jumped at the chance to be free for once.

"There they are." Grover nodded toward a couple of younger kids arguing in the bleachers. "Bianca and Nico di Angela"

The girl wore a floppy green cap like she was trying to hide her face. The boy was her little brother. They both had dark silky hair and olive skin, and they used their hands a lot as they talked. The boy was shuffling some kind of trading cards. His sister seemed to be scolding him about something. She kept looking around like she sensed something was wrong.

"Do they know?"

Annabeth asked, but before Grover could answer, Percy did.

"No."

Percy was about to take a step forward, But Dr Thorn appeared from the entrance of the gym, Looking at us with a cold gaze, Nodding slightly.

"Let's not focus on them for now, Mingle with others, confuse him.'

Annabeth said as she grabbed Percy to the other end of the hall so they'd dance and look normal, Leaving Thalia and Grover to dance together; Thalia was annoyed that she didn't get to be with Percy.

'I'll show him'

She thought before she started her torturing dance with Grover.

Percy and Annabeth, on the other side of the hall, Could only talk for a while about their experiences over the last few months. Annabeth couldn't talk to him like Thalia, Clarisse, and the rest of the Guardians of Order could, so he had the littlest interaction with her than anyone else.

They were caught up in the conversation till Grover rushed in, he had been looking for them for a good five minutes.

"Thorn and the di Angelo kids have vanished, Thalia followed them, We have to"

"Shit"

Percy, following Grover's lead, went out in the direction Thorn led the kids out.

Percy wasn't sure he could talk to Thalia since the communication between him and believers was a one-way thing.

'Thalia can you hear me?!'

Running into the forest hoping they were going the right way, Percy tried to reach her.

'If you can hear me, Percy, we are at the cliff of the mountain. I'm poisoned but not in a way I can't fight, But I can't fight on my own while protecting these kids.'
