Warning! 🚨 This chapter will be a continuation of "Storm from the Past" from the Smiths' perspective, focusing on the kidnapping. Additionally, we will explore a bit of what daily life was like for June with the Smiths, especially with John and Marian. 📖

Marian Graham meticulously charted her path from adolescence. She was a charismatic young woman with an insatiable desire to conquer the world, and in high school, everyone longed to be part of her circle to ensure a smooth journey through that stage of life.
She quickly rose to become the cheerleading captain and achieved each of her goals, regardless of the cost. She even manipulated votes to become the prom queen. But her ambition didn't stop there; she also won over the guy she had desired for so long: Carter Smith, a math whiz with a highly attractive appearance.
Once married and after completing their studies, Marian Graham became Marian Smith. Since childhood, she had dreamt of creating a perfect family and continued to pursue that dream despite the obstacles that came their way. In vitro fertilization was the solution that finally allowed them to have their children. John and Althea came into the world, filling the Smiths' hearts with pride. As soon as the babies were born, celebrations ensued, showcasing them to the world.
When Carter rose to the position of head of the accounting department, Marian decided to quit her job as an interior designer to fully dedicate herself to parenting, often saying colloquially among her friends that she wanted to "enjoy the good life." Motherhood was a demanding dual task, so the couple eventually hired a nanny, allowing Marian more time to go out with her friends and enjoy shopping afternoons.
Luxury life in their splendid Park Avenue apartment seemed idyllic, but everything changed on September 10, 2017. On that day, Carter was at the office while Marian was recovering from her high school best friend's birthday party, which had taken place the previous night. When Marian woke up, she was surprised to realize that Ginny, the nanny, hadn't arrived, remembering it was her day off.
The babies were crying inconsolably, and her head pounded with unbearable pain. She changed the babies' diapers and left them in the living room as she went to get aspirin. John was crawling on the plush carpet after being afraid to walk following a few falls, while Althea, emboldened, stood next to the sofa, exploring and playing with the remote control, which she had taken to her mouth.
When Marian returned to the living room, she found Althea turning purple, and she noticed that one of the batteries was missing from the remote control. She immediately called for an ambulance, but her hands trembled as she tried to clear any obstruction from Althea's mouth. John began to cry desperately. When the ambulance finally arrived, Althea's condition was critical.
In the waiting room, Marian called Carter, who didn't take long to arrive. They pleaded with Ginny to stay with John as they anxiously awaited news.
The hours dragged on slowly. Marian, her legs restless, scanned the waiting room with her gaze. She blinked as she recognized a woman a few steps away, cradling a baby in her arms. "Isn't that Elizabeth Olsen?" Marian whispered to her husband. "I didn't know she had a baby."
Carter shrugged, his mind still preoccupied with their daughter. Marian continued to observe the actress, who spoke affectionately to the baby, and the older woman who sat beside her.
"Smith family," a doctor with a somber expression called out.
"Doctor, when can we see our daughter?" Carter asked anxiously.
