A/N: Hey there readers! Chapter 2 is here! As of writing this story, I guess I should mention that this universe is slightly different when it comes to the details surrounding Oryx. Like for example, Touch of Malice not existing in this universe. And a whole bunch of other stuff. Though I hope it doesn't dissuade you guys from reading my stories.

Anyways, enough of that. I hope you guys enjoy it!

[Zavala's Office | Tower, Last City]

Zavala would pull up the hologram of a Vanguard informant within Savathûn's Throne World, a hologram of the Hive Ghost Fynch would appear.

Speaking to the ghost, Ikora would address Fynch who seemed awfully worried, "Fynch...is what Ahsa said true? Has Oryx returned?"

Fynch would be seen peeking around a corner before flying back to the center of the hologram projection, "Y-yeah! It's freaking terrifying! W-what if they find me and they realize I'm an operative!"

Ikora would chastise the ghost, trying to get the slowly panicking ghost to focus, "Fynch. You'll be safe there, just what is going on right now in the Throne World?"

"S-sorry...There's a purge going on right now!" Fynch would say as he continued looking around, he would then speak again, "The Lucent King is making any Hive Lieutenant he comes across submit to him or they will be killed. And man! The Scorn are getting riled up! You think the Witness knows about this?"

Zavala would make a grim expression before looking at Fynch, "So...Savathûn...is dead? Gone forever?"

Fynch would shed some light on the status of the Witch Queen, "Word is saying that Immaru was killed! Like crushed by Oryx himself! You guys need to stop this guy before he gets any stronger!"

Ikora Rey would stare at the Titan Vanguard, her stare causing Zavala to sigh. Bad memories were emerging for both the Vanguard leaders, but this fireteam was going to be needed to regroup.

"No..." Zavala responded. Ikora Rey would look at Fynch as she spoke, "We'll find a way to stop Oryx, Fynch. Stay safe out there."

The Hive Ghost would nod his shell before responding, "I'll do just that Ikora! I-I mean ma'am..."

With that, the hologram projection would disappear as the office was left alone for Zavala and Ikora. Ikora would speak to the Titan Vanguard, urging him to act, "We need to contact them Zavala, they're the only ones who have had experience fighting Oryx."

"How will we convince them?" Zavala paused, letting his point get across before continuing, "They've seen the horrors of Oryx, Ikora. They won't fight him again..."

Ikora Rey would look down before walking away, "It's worth a shot. I'll have Crow find them, they will answer the call. In the meantime, my Hidden will collect as much intel regarding Oryx's return..."

With that, the Warlock Vanguard would walk out of Zavala's office, leaving the titan commander some time to think to himself. Especially the consequences of having Oryx gaining the Light...

Zavala would walk towards his desk and stare at the spot where the Traveler left the Last City for unknown reasons, his mind asking the same question for the mysterious orb when it allowed Savathûn to be revived...

"Why..."

"Ah, excuse me..." Crow muttered as he tried to make his way through the bustling crowd of the Last City, the guardian would smile as he noticed Human and Eliksni conversing in small talk on the streets. Though he did wonder if the Cabal under Caital's command ever talked to the inhabitants of the city.
