Oryx, the Lucent King (A Destiny Story)

Chapter 5 "Encounter & Orders"

A/N: Hey there readers! I hope you’ve guys been enjoying the book! I am currently thinking that I should return back to Lucent Eyes and at least write a chapter for the arc’s finale. Then I’ll be back here to work on Chapter 6 which has some cool scenes planned in it. This is more a Hive focused chapter so there's like only one scene with Juliana-10 and Helton.

Recap: The Vanguard fireteam finally lands on the Throne World and meets Fynch. The group would realize that if Oryx began tithing, taking out his Council will severely deplete Oryx’s source of power.

Alak-Hul begins to create the resistance by making sure the caverns were secure for his forces, the Ghost network would also be quiet as the resisting Hive Lieutenants began communicating in person. Ti-Luk Ghost’s would begin to question the Lightblade on how they would defeat the Lucent King. The Lightblade would reveal that Immaru was still alive as the First Ghost showed up in the bandelier. Immaru’s plan would be to send Ti-Luk to contact the Vanguard operatives that would surely appear since.

The Lucent King would return from battle against the Scorn and enter the Altar of Reflection, where he would learn more about Throne Worlds created from the Sword Logic. Calling forth his council, Oryx would ask Šimmumah to resurrect Fekrul with the Light. Though the necromancer stated that he would need to acquire loyal Hive Ghosts, he would be permitted to leave as Oryx continued his discussion with the council.

Oryx would be told what his future plans would be, the Lucent King would reveal that he plans on leaving Savathûn’s Throne World to reconquer his past life Throne World, the Dreadnought. The Sect of Oryx would then begin their attack on the Apothecary, successfully taking it as Ha-Tith, Flame of the Resurrected is placed in charge of overseeing experiments with the Light.

A/N: I'm guessing that some people may want to know which Council member does what for Oryx and stuff. I will also have this in future chapters just so we know the status of them, I’ll also be adding what super they use.

The Council and their current positions and super:

Ecthar, Shield of Oryx: Bodyguard and watcher for the Lucent King. (Super: Hive Sentinel Shields)

Ha-Tith, Flame of the Resurrected: In charge of carrying out experiments in the Apothecary. (Super: Hive Well of Radiance)

Dul’Noh, The Scorn-Annihilator: No supervising position. (Super: ???)

Šimmumah Ur-nokru, Lucent Necromancer: Overseeing the acquiring of Hive Ghosts and reviving dead Hive to serve the Lucent King. (Super: Hive Stormtrance)

Krotu,Agony of the Light: No supervising position. (Super: ???)

Phiznoth, Eater of Pride: No supervising position. (Super: ???)

A/N: Half of these guys haven’t been used yet but I do plan for them to make their appearances in the story.

[Miasma Cave System | Savathûn’s Throne World]

The Lightblade and Immaru would watch as Ti-Luk left the chamber with orders to find and make contact with the Vanguard. Immaru would tch at Alak-Hul’s stare, his gruff voice full of annoyance, “Get out of here, I need a mental break from your chitin glowbugs.”

Alak-Hul would nod his head before leaving the chambers and walking down the dark cavern tunnel. The Lightblade watched as groups of Hive Lieutenants readied weapons and communicated with each other with the exploration of the caverns. One such Hive Lightbearer would walk towards the Lightblade before giving her report, “We found a tunnel that leads to an area close to the Fluorescent Canal.”
