Chapter 3 "Taking up Arms"

A/N: Hey there readers! Chapter 3 is here! I hope you guys have been enjoying the book so far! I actually have, it allows me to figure out what to do next for Lucent Eyes so it's been great. I also wanted to shed a bit of light on Juliana-10 I forgot to mention. Also this is a long chapter! Much longer than the previous ones!

She lives on the opposite side of the Last City, which means she hasn't seen the Eliksni from the House of Light. And I made it that the Eliksni has never truly gone beyond the Eliksni Quarter (Which is likely the same for the main timeline of Destiny 2) so our Exo titan is gonna see some things which might cause a tense situation...

Recap: The Vanguard checks in with Fynch who is terrified of the current civil war between the Sect of Oryx and the Lucent Brood. After the confirmation of Oryx's arrival, the Vanguard sends Crow to search for a surviving fireteam member, Juliana-10.

Juliana-10 would be convinced to join the Vanguard once again. While in the Throne World, the Sect of Oryx has managed to control most of the Court of Thorns, though the Fluorescent Canal proves to be a problem as the more Loyalist Brood remain. With Ecthar now the Shield of Oryx. The Lucent King makes his way to a room just for him, the Library of Navigation, built as a gift from Savathûn.

He would learn about his past life and search for more information about the Last City and its guardians, planning on personally avenging his past life...

[Tower Residential Room F371 | Tower, Last City]

Juliana-10 would groan in bed as a massive headache overcame her, it didn't help as the sunlight easily made it past the thin curtains of the room. Instinctively, she would rub her eyes, though the Exo frame didn't produce the 'eye gunk' a normal person would.

"God my head hurts..." Juliana muttered to herself as she rose her upper body out of bed, still not noticing the watching Crow. The Exo would shrug her shoulders before laying back down and talking to herself, "This is one...*Yawn* comfy bed..."

With that, the Exo would go back to sleep. Or...she would've if not for the random voice speaking, "You're up, good, Zavala wants to see you."

Juliana-10 would wake up immediately. Gathering the Light in her hands, she would form a Hammer of Sol and quickly threw it towards the direction of the voice. A slam would be heard as Crow dodge the hammer in time.

"What...the hell is wrong with you..." Juliana muttered as she glared tiredly at Crow.

The hunter would ignore that note as he spoke, "Like I said, Zavala wants to see you," with that Crow would open the door but midway through, he would speak again, "You might want to follow me...there's things you'll need to adjust to in the Tower."

The Exo would step out of bed, though her worn clothes were already beginning to fall apart. The hunter would turn around just in time as he pointed to a new set of clothes neatly piled on a nearby table. It would be the same type of clothing generally seen worn by the many engineers and workers on the Tower.

Juliana would begin to change clothes as she muttered to herself, "Things to adjust to...?
Putting on the fresh pair of clothing, Juliana would open the door to see Crow standing outside. Waving his hand, Crow would begin to show the way towards Zavala's office. The Exo Titan would look in a neutral stance as she took in the sight of the new Tower for the Vanguard.

Though her robotic eyes would look in shock as she saw a Fallen with an Eliksni Spear approaching a nearby civilian. Pushing Crow out of the way, Juliana would scream out loud as she manifested another hammer.

"WATCH OUT!"

Glint immediately transmitted himself out as he looked to his guardian. The hunter would immediately reach out to stop the Exo who already began to throw the hammer. Juliana-10's hammer would quickly fly towards the Eliksni who just got out of their shift.
