/Oryx the Lucent King Epilogue\

[Zavala's Office | Tower, Last City]

The Titan Vanguard sighed tiredly as he waited for Ikora to discuss the reports he had just read. First, the Witness's disappearance into the portal that was created after the defeat of Calus back on Neomuna and now the resurrection of Oryx as a Lightbearer.

'The whole universe is on the verge of destruction and an old enemy is brought back with the Light...'

Though progress has been made with Eris Morn and her tithing in order to subdue Xivu Arath has been going under careful surveillance, a part of Zavala's mind could only worry to the thought that the Witch Queen was not going to uphold her end of the bargain...

However the Vanguard's thoughts would be interrupted as Ikora entered the room, she wore a face of sadness and concern. Ikora would talk to Zavala as she took a seat in front of him, "They're gone...I approved of their plan but-"

She would be cut off as Zavala spoke to ease her guilt, "It wasn't your fault Ikora. They knew what they were up against, all that we can do now is to find where Oryx has gone while we focus on trying to get into the portal the Witness created."

The two would stay silent as they remembered the reports that were brought to them from Ikora's Hidden, who was still currently gathering more information regarding the current situation of the Throne World. Ikora nodded her head as she shared what she learned from her agents to Zavala, "The only hint we got to where they might've been was towards a cavern close to the vicinity of the Savathûn's fortress. There my agents found evidence to believe that Oryx and his forces have left the Throne World..."

That was obviously not good for the Last City. Immediately, Ikora would point to a collection of pictures, taken by her agents, showing obvious disturbance in the ground. The Warlock Vanguard explained how she came to believe that theory while Zavala continued looking through them, "These were likely either storage units of barricades before getting shifted into whatever thing Oryx traveled into. Either a portal or a ship..."

She continued speaking, "Topple in with the fact that there are no signs of Hive, other than the Lucent Brood loyal to Savathûn making their way back in, occupying Savathûn's Court. It's safe to confirm that this theory is likely to be the case."

Zavala would then look up at Ikora as he wanted to see if there was confirmation from two important sources, though he had already believed Ikora was telling the truth, "How about Fynch? Eris Morn? Has either of them found any more evidence?"

"Yes, Fynch has personally traveled across the Throne World in search for any sign of Oryx, he's come empty handed. While Eris has confirmed in her...other form..." Ikora paused, showing signs of worry for the Hellmouth survivor before continuing, "that Oryx's 'presence' is no longer there."

"I see..." Zavala muttered before sighing once again, "Then if Oryx is gone, that means they are as well...have we found their bodies yet?"

Ikora nodded her head with a tone of sadness in her voice, as well as feeling slightly disturbed as she continued explaining what was found in the sanctum, "We found two of their bodies. We don't know if it was Khan or Juliana but..."
