{Dally's POV}
After last night, me and Pony decided to ignore the condom ripping for now. I mean, some people try forever to get pregnant, right? A little accident wouldn't cause any harm. After we cleaned up, I kissed Ponyboy goodnight and held him close, rubbing his back comfortingly. I know he really likes that. When I hold him tight, the nightmares don't come. He has real bad night terrors sometimes about his parents or about Curly. He's such a brave boy. I know the fact that Curly just fell off the face of the earth scares him. He doesn't super like being in public even, and I think that's why. It doesn't matter, because I'll always be here to protect my boyfriend.
I make sure he's asleep and peaceful before even thinking about laying my head down fully. When I do, I slip into a dream about marrying him. A dream I know I'll have to wait a little longer for. I've always wanted that, a traditional, beautiful wedding. Most people on our side of town just have courthouse marriages, but I wanted something much more special. A beautiful church, or a venue, with beautiful flowers and a big ring to give my beloved...
"dally?" A light voice calls, making my dream stutter like a tape being rewinded. I scrunch my face as the dream disappears, and the cool morning light reflects into my face from the white sheets we're draped in.
"heya, pony." I say with a grin. My voice is gravelly. He returns an adorable smile with closed eyes. He yawns and stretches his legs.
"y'wanna get some breakfast? Darry made a cake before you came over last night."
Last night. Last night was incredible.
"oh, sure. Only if you go down with me, before Two Bit shows up. Lord knows he could eat the whole thing on his own."
I sit up on the pillows, with ponyboy still hanging on my waist. I feel the cold morning air in the chilly room, and pull the sheets over us again.
"Yikes, it's chilly today." Ponyboy says, burying his face in my chest hair.
"Wear my hoodie, I don't want you to freeze."
"I love that hoodie. It always smells like your cologne."
"Then it's all yours. For whenever I can't be with you."
We relax in silence together, before I decide to get up and get dressed finally. I scoop my hoodie from the floor and throw it to Pony on the bed. He stays bundled in the covers, reaching out to throw my hoodie over his cold skin quickly.
"What's keeping ya in bed? Do I have to carry you to breakfast, princess?" I joke, pulling my jeans up to my flannel.
"Dally, I slept with no pants on."
"Oh. Well y'know I wouldn't mind if you..."
"Oh shut up." He giggles, holding his hands to his face. The sleeves cover most of his hands, but let his fingers peek out.
I toss him his jeans and new boxers, and he puts them on under the sheets. While I'm near the dresser, I throw him some new fuzzy socks. His feet will freeze if I let him walk down there barefoot.
When they land in front of him, he gives me a sweet smile as I walk over to sit on the edge of the bed.
"thank you Dally. You're really sweet."
"They're just your socks, Pone." I say with a little laugh. He's so innocent.
"Not just that. All the time. It's just nobody can tell because you're all big and tuff Dallas."
"I gotta keep 'em afraid don't I? So they know not to go after my special boy." I stroke his chin with the back of my bent finger.
"Now let's get to breakfast."
