CHAPTER 5: SUMIRE'S GRIN
Yurika Immediately pick up the broken glass and toss it in the trash bin and continues drinking the water, she then goes back to bed and fell asleep peacefully. It's finally morning of Wednesday she prepared her uniform and her lunch but before she left she tries to call her parents in America but it doesn't seem they will answer she then gives up and goes outside.
While walking she spotted a black cat who was very hungry, Even though Yurika don't feel emotions she still gives Animals food, She gave the cat some pieces of her lunch and she noticed that the back of the cat has scratch marks so she bring the cat home, "Diyan kalang, Babalik ako mamayang alas 4." She said and close the door behind her and went to school.
She grabs her phone from her pocket and she notices that it was 7:25 she was shocked because her class should begin in 7:30, she then runs as fast as she could, she then tripped over a rock when she's about to fall someone catch her in time grabbing her by her wraist.
She opens her eyes notices it was Jokichi. "Okay ka lang ba?" Jokichi said to her, Yurika then pulls him away from her and she blushed hard. "Namumula kaba?" Jokichi said to Yurika, "Salamat.." Yurika said to Jokichi then runs away.
"Ano nga ang pangalan niya?" Jokichi questioned himself of what the girl's name is and he's certain that he met her before. he then scratch he's head and then walks to the school gate. Luckily Yurika made it in time. "Saan ka galing bat parang mamatay kana?" Midori said to Yurika while Yurika is out of breath, she then went to her seat.
"May nangyare ba bess?" Midori questioned Yurika but Yurika did not reply she's still out of breath of what happened earlier. "Pasensya na, akala ko malalate nako." Yurika said after that Jokichi enters the classroom and Yurika suddenly hides her face using her hair. "Anong ginagawa mo?" Midori said to Yurika. "Basta wag mo akong pansinin!" Yurika said to Midori, "Sige, parang may rabies ka bess." Midori said while Yurika continuesly hides her face from Jokichi.
After that the Teacher walks in and greeted the whole class and Yurika keeps thinking about what happened earlier with Jokichi. "Alam mo Jokichi, Gusto talaga kita, even if Papatayin ko ang nakakagusto saiyo." Yurika said to herself and smiles.
The class is finally over and Midori and Yurika goes to the school gym and practiced their Play on friday, The substitute leader is very impressed in Yurika and Midori of how much they have progressed through the practice. They took a short break "Yurika, Pwede ba kita makausap ng saglit?" Itadori said to Yurika and sit down with her, "May naghahanap kasi ng actress ang LH Media baka gusto mo maging actress Yurika." Itadori said to Yurika and then Itadori gaved Yurika a note to a number.
"Yan ang number nila, Diyan mo mamemeet yung Leader namin." Itadori said to Yurika and then gave her a smile, after the talk they went back to practice for another 2 hours. The practice finally ended in 1 Pm and both of them went back to class, As Yurika walks in she notices that Sumire is in a good mood. "Good Mood ka ha? Well ang ngisi mo ay hindi yan magtatagal dito." Yurika said to herself and glared at Sumire.
The Teacher finally walks in and starts the discussion, While the teacher is discussing in front, Sumire and her best friend whispers to each other again. "Sino naman ang Maingay diyan!?" The Teacher shouted at the whole class. As Yurika was about to stand up, Sumire was first to stand up. "Si Pippi at si Yurika Ma'am." Yurika said to the teacher, as Sumire said it was Yurika and Pippi are the one who keeps talking in class the whole class gasped.
"So kayong dalawa? Bakit ba kayo nag-uusap sa klase habang ako nasa harap!?" The teacher shouted at both of them, "Ma'am I promise you hindi ako yun! Nagsisinungaling si Sumire sila ang nagbubulungan!" Pippi said to the teacher and looks at Sumire glaring at her as if she was going to kill her right there.
"Yes Ma'am, Totoo pong si Sumire ang nagsasalita, naniwala po ako na inakusahan niya kami para mailigtas niya ang sarili niya sa proseso, naniniwala akong sinasadya niya na inakusahan niya kami dahil sa nangyari kahapon." Yurika said to the teacher while Sumire's mouth is twitching with guilt. "Hindi po yan totoo ma'am sila po talaga! Alam ko hindi nagsisinungaling ang mata ko, sabihin mo sa mga ibang studyante ma'am." Sumire said to the teacher and the teacher asked the other student if they saw Pippi and Yurika talking each other.
In everyone's surprised many students in class tells the teacher that Sumire is true about Yurika and Pippi whispering each other and this gives Sumire and grin on her face, and puts Yurika and Sumire in complete despair. "So talaga kayong dalawa? Go to the Guidance Counselor NOW!" The teacher shouted at them both and went to the Guidance Office.
"Walang Hiyang babae yun, Ito bah ang paghihigante mo sa nangyare kahapon? Hindi ka makakatakas nito SUMIRE! PAPATAYIN TALAGA KITA!" Yurika said to herself while they walk to the Guidance Office.
